I was bracing myself when I realized most of this week's episode is going to be a big flashforward, as I feel my favorite parts of this season so far have been about Midge's new writing job. But it turned out to be the show's best episode in years (personally -- maybe ever?), as the structure is cleverly used to weave our characters' future and conflicts among the fast-paced remembrance and humor. Then it ended on such an unexpectedly moving note; I teared up literally at the same time Susie did (Borstein is great throughout the ep). “Tits up, old friend"

This season hasn’t been the greatest so far but this episode was quite special. If you’d told me this episode was the finale of this show I’d be incredibly satisfied.

Weird one. My least favorite episode so far.

I really loved this episode. It was beautiful and suited the show's tone very well. The writing structure was phenomenal.

We knew there was a fall out between Susie and Midge in the future. Despite some shows, the conflict wasn't forced, it felt real and possible. I hate it when they write a stupid story after a cliffhanger, so I'm glad this didn't turn out to be one. This episode answered many questions created this season, but there are still three episodes left. I'm very curious what they will do with them.

This was beautiful. Truly fantastic. The way the script structured going back and forward to tie all the knots they've been setting up this season was so effective. It didn't feel forced or rushed, but real and grounded to this universe. Brilliant stuff.

This episode was so bad I started fast-forwarding & ended up doing that for the entire show!

Midge and Susie both mentioned a certain Jackie, maybe those three episodes will be about him. Because really, the story already looks finished.
By the way, both Joel Gray and Philip Roth are real people, like Leni Bruce.
