Now that the series ended I can say that it is really a good full pack show to watch and enjoy it.
A marvelous farewell for a show that started out amazing, went a bit downhill, then rose from the ashes.
Apart from the awful masking showcasing "old age" and the occasionally unnecessary flashforwards, this season was pretty perfect in my opinion, with a matching finale.
Ack! What a poorly engineered final season. They jumped around in time so much, it became too confusing. The storyline was lost. There were some great classic scenes, and I didn’t mind seeing into the future, but it got all mucked up. We all wanted to see a romance, but I guess in the end, it was about the live between the two friends, Midge and Susie.
I was initially hesitant because of the intermittent time jumps that felt like they shortcircuited the journey of our protagonist. But by the end, the show had highlighted exactly what its thematic throughline for Midge was, and it was beautifully done. Costuming, cinematography, everything was always on point. Excellent final season.
I will miss my girls so very much
Since when did Gordon Jump get his own talk show?

I can't be the only one not a fan of these flash-forwards and the way things are set up in those, with all the major changes they imply to happen over the years...
