I love how this show makes me kinda sympthasize with the Nazis and Japanese and hate the rebellion.
So freaking genius!!! I didn't even realize it and had to go back to the first episode of the season, but this whole season was all about making that one film happen (the only one where san francisco isn't wiped out by an a bomb), this is one of those shows/seasons/episodes that give you satisfaction of how perfectly everything fits. This is one of the best storytellings I've ever had the pleasure to watch.
From Juliana letting Joe escape last season so this way he could be in Germany, to her wanting to save Smith's son and that way saving Smith too so he could go to Germany too and use his influence with Joe, to Tagomi traveling through realities and choosing the one right thing that could change the course of the world, CI Kido surviving the resistance bomb and reasoning with Smith, everything was brilliant.
At first I understood that tagomi-kido-smith knew that it was a film from another reality and that smith was gonna say that to Joe's dad, but thankfully they went with the version of the japanese claiming the bomb, that was so genius!!
And lets take a second to talk about how awful Joe is, he had the nerve to ask "why should I help you" like it was a personal favor to smith, when it was to save the world from a nuclear war, but whatever that doesn't matter when it comes to joe's ego, and then he dares to say Smith just wants to cash in a favor??? well yeah, a favor to save the world but again that doesn't matter to hitler's chosen baby. And then I was so scared that other german general was also on it and that they were going to off smith, but that wasn't the case. And I also was wondering how they traveled so fast from one city/country to another, but I remembered the germans have rockets or like sonic planes or something like that.
And Thomas is such a drama king, like if he wants to euthanize himself, he should've done it in the privacy of his own home instead of making an spectacle, I know it sounds mean, but I feel like I would've had more impact for him to do it in his room and for his mom to find him, but probably Smith's enemys are gonna use that info against him next season.
And oh wow, Trudy! Probably she's a Trudy from another reality?
For next season all I want is for everyone to leave Juliana alone!!! and for her to meet with Ed and be happy together!! (just as friends is okay, you can tell they appreciate each other)
Many spine-tingling moments, the hallmark of this terrific season finale. Whoa! That was good TV

Fantastic end to the season. This show has really taken me on a journey. You find yourself rooting for the bad guys and wanting the rebels to fail. A true mark of good story telling and characterisation. So many other TV shows getting critical acclaim can't touch this level of writing.
