So, it turns out that the man in the high castle is... well, I won't spoil it for those who have not seen it. But we saw just one guy who lived in a high castle and collected films.
Again, without spoiling, I think the ending was superb. I think the show out-Dicked Philip K. Dick. Dick suffered from schizophrenia, and so his feeling that the world was not real is a constant theme in his books. The changes the TV show made relative to the book actually improved the portrayal of an unreal reality, in my opinion.

ED :( He is such a good friend, I fear he won’t make it :(
And oh wow... so can we asume that unknowingly the resistance has been retrieving back those films for hitler himself aka the man in the high castle???? But where are they retrieving them from? Or maybe someone is smuggling them out from hitler’s castle and distributing them?? Or hitler’s in a race against the resistance’s leader to collect as many as possible? So many questions!! But in a good way.
Also I’m a little on the fence about hitler’s portrayal, usually in any show/film when they dare to portray him it always ends up looking like a parody or like a caricature (I get it must be difficult to give that space to the most evil man in recent history) so I don’t think this was the case but I feel like the interpretation was kinda plain and he was just a mad man (which yes he was) but I would imagine that after timeline traveling or altering reality, there would be a sense of newfound depth to any person or even more madness knowing you control reality, so this was like your regular okay portrayal of that man but this leads to even more questions, so I wonder if we are gonna see more of him.
And oh wow again for trade minister Tagomi... how did that happen??? And was that a smile?? I’m so intrigued by him, I can’t figure him out, I guess the books would give me more context about him?
And I’m shocked reading some of the comments back from 2015 that they were shocked about this being like a timeline traveling or alternate realities show, cause I’m starting this in 2021 and watched some trailers so I knew it was about that when I started watching, so I had the a totally different experience, I feel like it would’ve been cool to get to experience that twist too!
So this show turned into a science fiction show where they can go to an alternate universe ? I am confused
Spoiler for this episode ahead.
I have a question.
SPOILERWe saw in this episode one man in a castle who was watching one film of his film collection... and this man was Hitler. So does that mean, all this time the resistance was unknowingly collecting films for the enemy (him)?SPOILER END
Wow I only clicked about 'the man in the high castle ' by reading the comments
That ending is still amazing!
Grand finale, great story. Fantastic ending with Hitler's conspiracy and all
I never read that book (but I will) and what i know about it is that they promised story about alternative reality where germany won the war. But what i saw was enhlish speaking germans and japans trying to keep peace in USA divided between them and some neutral zone... I dont even understand why there is some neutral zone. Whole show is about: "Who has that film?, Have you seen that film? What is that film about? You were in that film. This man collects that films."
From what I seen, this show is not for people who didnt read that book. I am known for very quick understanding of what is going on, but in this show I am lost, so many details that were not explained (neutral zone, why proud germans are speaking english, resistance only caring about films, very little numbers of guards and resistance members, collector of fingers).
I really like this playing with alternative reality but this was very poorly thoughtful. From view of regular spectator I dont understand why is whole show about some "our reality" war movies being hunted and collected. They didnt show much from post-war world, but too much of that movies hunting.
Mmmh...Stanley Kubrik's Lolita movie poster in the final sequence...hence welcome to 1962 Tagomi-San...
wtf that very last scene... so this is a mystery series with parallel universes now or what??
Probably one of the least favorable episodes of the season for the only reasons that it left the viewer with so many unanswered questions and is clearly a huge cliffhanger for the next season. I mean, that last scene, c'mon!!

I cannot believe they got me rooting for Hitler to survive the incident.
