Every male character in the show is psycho and abusive and erratic. Too much elaborate mystery and fluff, surrounding what appears to be typical abusive relationship drama. Slow story, but excellent acting and cinematography. Personally, wouldn't recommend though.
Cinematography, acting, score - all great. Too slow, moody and artsy for my taste. It's hard to tell what is real, a dream, a flashback or a hallucination and pretty quickly I stopped caring. It's categorized as a mystery but it seems to me they reveal it all by the beginning of the second episode. Lasted about 10 minutes into episode 2 then shut it off. Even my hun who usually likes slow depressing shows was not very captivated and agreed to stop watching....
If you're looking for a cry, this is for you. I'm so glad I watched this and sat through 7, hour long episodes. If the pacing was just a little faster, this would be perfect, but once you finish it, it's definitely worth it. Also, Australia has never been prettier.
It is a beautiful and heartbreaking limited series about the weaknesses and strengths of the fictional Thornfield women (and about the power and resilience of women in general).
Delicate and uncompromising. Must watch
The narrative is basically we have a “men are evil” problem, and it concludes by discarding any interest in the characters' story. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.
Very good Australian show-powerful story

Well, this is a very good drama... The 1st scene with the beautiful cinematography of the Land with this pastoral family will then speak volumes in this natural drama story in the lovely wild lands of australia without even forgetting about broaching natives and ancestral stories...such a good journey with a high level cast and crew and Land
