[7.7/10] Hey! This one was legitimately good! There was a lot of the clockwork comedy I like, and almost all of the jokes hit. This is the first episode of the show that felt like Arrested Development with a fantasy football setting, and that’s a good place to be.
I’d say my least favorite storyline was Pete and his new girlfriend who wants to decide things for him, because it’s such a cliché. But the group’s reaction to her changing his lineup or giving him a skunky beer help save it, and his bit about Ben Roethlisberger is dark but funny. I also thought that Andre’s bit, with three days in London having turned him into an English wannabe, was a great running gag that brought the laughs.
But it was the intersecting gags that really got me. While Ruxin’s vulgar emails didn’t do much for me, the whole setup with him going to the community theater production, and managing to cheese off both Andre’s housekeeper and his HR guy was a little contrived but funny enough to work. And the piece de resistance, possibly of the whole show, is the combination of Kevin’s fear of the guy he put in jail (who just happens to be the dad of Ellie’s playdate), Taco’s “guest bong” concept, and the comedic thread of autocorrect screwing up people’s messages. Kevin and the other dad’s joint panic, and Taco’s “cloud”-loving freak session was a great comic crescendo that made the episode.
Overall, one of The League’s very best episodes thus far.

Andre has a stand out episode here. Even the usually terrible Taco has gone back-to-back. His moment in the suit is excellent.
