Lots of fun. The opening number wasn't terribly subtle, but the whole "Christmas in July" patriotic yuletide bit was a clever twist on it, and it had the usual stellar production that you come to expect from Colbert. The monologue had a few laughs, and the skit with Jon Stewart bringing back "Stephen Colbert" was cute. But the real highlight was the return of The Word. Colbert, in the guise of his old character, comparing "truthiness" to "Trumpiness" was inspired, and made me miss the old Colbert Report shtick. I skipped over the interview, and Sam Waterson's "Hall of importance" sketch was a bit limp (short of the "Al Gore trying to eat his his wife" gag). Overall, this one was worth watching for the opening number and The Word, but you could be forgiven for just seeking out those clips online and missing the rest.
