5x01 Casus Belli

Hot damn that was intense! Also, really bold of TNT (if not a somewhat questionable decision) to pit the US against South America with the current political climate they're going through. Maybe not the best idea right now? Who knows.

I can say, though, as an Argentinian, this plot line makes me a bit uncomfortable. Cause, let's face it, the US is always trying to stick their noses into other countries businesses, which is not great from our perspective. At the same time, does that warrant a full on attack? I don't think so. It's all too real for my liking. And that's why season 2 was so great. It was super compelling, and gave us all a common enemy to hate cause they were a bunch of religious fanatics who no one in their right mind could really side with. With this one, we have more of a gray area.

But, how anyone can think attacking the US Navy at this point is a good idea is beyond me. Where have you all been during seasons 1 through 4? You can knock them down, but in the end, you'll be the one who gets destroyed.

At the very least, this season's already looking like it's gonna be a lot more high stakes and gritty than last season (which sucked, imo). I hope we go back to the level of awesomeness of season two, cause the show's storylines have been going down since then, and it's about time it picks up and we get another great, compelling season.
