This episode is what was sorely needed. It anchored the whole world in some reality instead of just some isolated window.
Amazing. Every episode is remarkable for something. Some topic or experience or twist and turns of the story. Sweet.
I really enjoyed how this deviated from the main story and gave Luke's character more time. I was getting tired of wondering what happened to him.
I wonder how many Americans made it to Canada? It seems like enough to function, yet the Mexican official knew Luke's name, so not too many.
They tried to hide the fertile women in here. The guardians took them and stung everyone else up. There’s one of these in every town..this is what they do to people who fight back.
I didn’t think I would enjoy a whole episode just about Luke. But it was really interesting and exciting.
We thought this episode was the best, but the whole series was good.
If they were going to travel on the trunk, why did the guy made them get rid of the backpack? He said they couldn't look like they were running, but they were hidden. They could just put the backpack on the trunk too. That part made no sense lol
In which we learn why it is crucial to wear seatbelts. Or be strapped in even more secure than that.
The radio sounds keeps cracking me up.... frekking hell....nice episode
Finally a good episode worth watching
This one was the only time It didn't feel like I started watching in the middle of the episode.
Finally a story that connect its parts instead of throwing them away.
Almost only Luke's story. Flashback are useless as we already know how it ends. The rest didn't need a whole episode to be told.
The ambulance's scene is a really great shot though.
20 secondes after seeing this girl, you know he'll end up with her.
Also, it's like he just discovers she's alive. Which means he's been looking for her but npbody told him anything yet. But the mexican aide knew her though. Really makes no sense.
I wasn't expecting to be focused on Luke... but I really enjoyed it

At first this felt like a bit of filler to flesh out the backstory and the "Before" part of the events, but it was so much more. It shifted gears a little bit from the rest of the main plot, but in a way that helped contextualize the rest of what's happening. And broadened the scope of the story outside of just what June/Offred has been experiencing. I am so impressed with O.T. Fagbenle in this episode, his performance was quite exceptional and it really allowed me to understand Luke so much more, especially his relationship with June.
I'm surprised I liked this episode so much, but it really stood out and made the reveal at the end so worth it.
