It's the CW. It's the CW. It's the CW.
I keep repeating this to myself before I think to criticize it for too long. I'm watching it back-to-back because, well, I like some of the comedians, even if I'm familiar enough with them to hear jokes from their sets. Watching things back-to-back lets grievances shine. Things like, the same opening joke about bribing to win the game. A pun that you can tell was written at the same time of another similar joke, but it aired two episodes ago, but was filmed the same day. Dulce's voice is beginning to make me want to scratch my ears off, but not as much as the feigned confidence masking the exasperation of being her in an unsympathetic world. Will anyone with enough money who's into fat chicks just date/marry her already? I swear she's got the two notes she's bouncing between for at least the last year or so when I saw her live.
The humor is pretty safe (I literally saw Jeff Foxworthy last night, it's not an indictment). The comedians are pretty well known for being popular because they aren't safe. This means you'll definitely get mild chuckles throughout, but I don't want Roast Battle monsters making weak puns about laundry.
I'm happy to learn about some of the British comedians I'm not familiar with, so the show has been good for that. Visit this series because entertainers have to keep working to stay relevant, not because you're going to witness them at their best.

Hoped this would be as good as Mock The Week but alas - not a patch. Not sure the host is right as you need someone who takes part in the jokes not just laugh at them.
