The cinematography and production design is still SO MUCH on point, I love it! This is just car porn all around.
Glad to have those 3 idiots back and while this might not have had the best talk/celebrity parts in it, it only was the first episode and hopefully there are better one's to come regarding that... certainly looking forward to everything that's yet to come! :D

I'm so glad they are back, but..it wasn't great, probably because my expectactions were so high, the tent segments, specially the celebrity bit, was very very forced/scripted. Other than that, the production was great the humor and synergy are still there. Apart from that downside, they are still worth our time and money. Congrats Jeremy, Richard and James.

Three is back. I appreciate the fact that they did not have to rob Top Gear (ourselves) and still came up with the original.
Great to have the guys back and their banter. It's evident a lot of money has been spent but for little added benefit. there is a sort of obnoxious production style that mixes with the obnoxiousness of clarkson to bad effect. it has some more american style shots as well. Disclaimer: I used to watch top gear because of the comedy and haven't watched much in the last few years as it started to focus more on cars. The last season suffered from losing the trio this suffers from lack of content. I don't care about cars but the lack of real info about them stood out certainly compared to Top Gear. the new segments are not particularly strong. I know money is not necessarily the enemy of comedy but it seems for this episode at least it was a substitute with grandiose setups rather than character jokes.
it looks great with less filters applied to shots but too many of the racing shots are of drifting rather than emphasising how the driver or car responds. editing seems less smooth with too much CG effects. Overall the feel is back, mainly because the trio give the show its personality. It still looks nice but it missed depth (either in characters, comedy or info). This is a pilot and as we start to see the segments roll out in future episodes it will probably improve. I hope they focus on cars at both ends of the price spectrum and allow each member of the trio to do their own reviews as well.

Great to have the boys back. Love the top-notch camera work, the banter between them and the cars. Stellar opening too.
