Nice that they are giving props to the original show "The Wonder Year's" not to whatever that new remake is. Not that I have seen it at all, but from the poster it seems like it's just another remake like what's been done with shows and movies many times before. I have to say though that yes, quite a few of the characters in this show are like the ones in "The Wonder Year's".
Cute episode but I don't understand the obsession with high school; it would be a lot more interesting to focus attention to Erika's wedding and the conflicts it will bring.
Also, (my opinion, obviously) with the wedding, the show should either end or advance to the 90s: the 80s were just one decade and the "It was 1980 something" was dragged for too long
