The most refreshing thing about this show is having Mark Hamill NOT playing Luke Skywalker or the Joker. I really like Pym, wish he had more screen time.

Wow I hadn’t recognised the patient for who she was. Damn.

But also, Tammy and Bill having one big argument, and they’re already on “I walk out the door, I’m not coming back”-thing. Bit dramatic.

When Rodrick was talking to the wall again. I was like… oh gods, did they put Anabell Lee into the wall… or maybe it’s the ex-boss. But we never heard what happened to his first wife, I think. So there’s that.

  • Was not expecting the heart noise to be the literal squelching of a dead heart.

  • Great choice of music for this episode - "Total eclipse of the heart" by Bonnie Tyler and "Hard on the heart" by Kingsborough.

  • I can't wait for the reveal of who Madeline and Roderick killed and hid in that brick wall

I have always been a fan of Carla Gugino but hands down, I think this is her best role ever.

Verna (Carla Gugino), is the crack that divides the Usher house (literally and figuratively), she's the drug, the dragon that drives Roddy and his progeny to self destructive madness, she's the raven, the black cat, the harbinger of destiny... and all of the karmic retribution that befalls this family.

Also, love, love, LOVE that T'Nia Miller always bringing her A game! She absolutely kills in this episode! wink

A damn good line!

Despite being a pretty brutal show. I was never once shocked when anyone died. Since the show disappointedly has Roderick right away tell us all his children are dead.
Every episode is about showing us how they died. Which I don’t find very engaging. In that way the show is over-rated.
The acting of Carla Gugino are and Bruce Greenwood is what keeps me watching though. Oh and definitely Mark Hamill.

Huh, I never thought Roderick would react that way. I guess "Aunt Mad" really is pulling all the strings.

I'm more inclined to think that they killed their boss now, but it's all still up in the air. Roderick's wife would be a good candidate too, as Mad might have grown tired of her interfering, or even in an accident.
