Pretty much a perfect miniseries. Intriguing characters and overall story with amazing actors, great cinematography and an absolutely fantastic soundtrack.
After Season 2:
I was really worried that this season might be shit but it actually turned out great. It's IMO as good if not better than S1 (although quite a bit less funnier and even more depressing at times) and it provides a lot happier ending for the characters which is nice. It also deals with the psychological aftermath of S1 really well.
But the best thing in the show still was the soundtrack. It somehow got even better than S1.
'i've just turned 18. i think i understand what people mean to each other.'
The trailer alone was enough to pull me in but now that I watched she show in total I can say that this is one of the best things out there. It's bold and funny, harsh and weird. James and Alyssa are such great characters and the actors portray them so well, there is real chemistry between them.
The story has a nice pace that covers everything without stalling or overtelling. It's something you can easily watch in one go.
I completely fell in love with it from start to finish.
I'll skip season 2. S1 was disappointing enough.
Do you what "far fetched cliche bullshit" means? No? Then watch this and you will
This is one of the best shows in all of history, weird, creepy, but it the most amazing way. The way james goes from complete psycho, to this sweet young boy who just starts to understand love, really makes the show.
Thank fu*k i realized immediately what was about to happen to that cat. Turned it off. No fu*king thanks. I'll watch anything. Literally. People being decapitated, all kinds of brutal things, but i dont need to have nightmares about sweet little cats being hurt or killed. It's just too much. It is. Idc if that seems weird. But i honestly couldn't care less about the human killings. (I mean in horror movies etc) Humans are rarely as innocent and helpless.
I was really hoping to enjoy this... But it wasnt even 1 minute in. ☹ damn it
I get it, he's supposed to be a psychopath. Seems extremely on the nose. Idk. Just tired of cat killings in tv shows & movies.
Sucks, i heard this was good.
MY THOUGHTS ON THE END OF THE F---ING WORLD
-WARNING: Spoilers Below-
This is a perfect example of a show that should have only been 1 season simply because the second was abysmal. The first season was so refreshing and fun to watch, the cast all seemed enthusiastic to play their parts, the script was brilliant, the locations were beautiful, the directing was great and the pace was perfect. Unfortunately that didn't continue onto season 2.
I understand what they were trying to do in season 2 and how they were trying to show that the actions James and Alyssa took have severe consequences but I feel like they could have done it in a much more believable way. Bonnie wasn't remotely believable nor a likeable character and it gave an extreme dampening on the entire season, I understand this show screams angsty teenager but my god they went overboard with her.
Season 1 in my eyes was a solid 8 out of 10 and was very enjoyable, I couldn't wait for season 2 to be released and once it was released I watched it as soon as I could. Season 2 wasn't an 8 out of 10, I'd say it was a 5 or a 6 out of 10. Because of that it left a sour taste in my mouth for the rest of the show. I feel like all the plot choices they took in season 2 were so unnecessary and the show would have bene better without a second season.
Overall I am glad I watched this show but i wont ever consider it as a favourite, it'll honestly just be a show I'll forget. Was it worth watching? Yes. Will I go out of my way to recommend it? Definitely not.
Overall rating: 7/10
It’s not my cup of tea!
I saw good scores and I decided to give it a try.
One of the most disappointing series I ever seen, S1 is watchable, S2 shouldn't even exist...
Absolutely fantastic series. Great cast and story. At times black, but at all times entertaining.
beautiful love story, I hope for a season 2 :)
Trakt doesn't allow emojis in comments, but If it were, my comment would be somerhing like: The soundtrack in this show is fire emoji fire emoji fire emoji.
i hated it a lot, not gonna lie. gimme some some tide pods, so I can die
Highly overrated show. Really loved it for the first 5 episodes, then it just kind of lost me. The first half of the show was so twisted and beautifully surreal, and then somehow all that magic was just lost for the last half of the series. This is definitely a show worth watching, I just wish the last few episodes of the show didn't feel so disjointed and unsatisfying.
I can't believe I've wasted my time on this.
It starts of with the cringiest, most insufferable couple of teenagers I have ever seen in any series, movie, or a videogame. Think 13 Reasons Why, but ten times worse. I just can't get interested in their ideas and motivations because they annoy me so much.
Speaking of 13 Reasons Why: yeah, the characters were annoying there as well sometimes, but that show has a great overarching story. This one, does not. Yeah, kids ran away, did some stupid stuff, got into some unfortunate events, but all this lacks focus.
The first half of the season tries to be both funny and deep, to show lost teenagers going through emotions. Except it can't do any of those things, dramatic events lose their weight, and, coupled with annoying main characters (did I already tell you how insufferable they are? Well they really are), the show turns into an unfunny stream of absurdity.
The second half is basically just "yeah, whatever, let's go wild". This works better, the kids are not that annoying anymore, and it has some moments I genuinely enjoyed (the petrol station scene is all-around awesome). But I'm already not invested enough into the characters and the story to enjoy this as a whole. And because of that, once again, all drama of the ending is lost on me.
It does have nice soundtrack though. Can't take that away from it.
I don't know what I was expecting from this show but certainly it wasn't this.
A M A Z I N G
This show is visually stuning, the soundtrack is mindblowing and the narration is incredibly well done.
I can't think of one think I don't like about this show. I just finidhed it about 10 minutes ago and I'm writting this listening to the soundtrack while processing what I just witnessed.
The run time is short but I don't think it would've worked any other way, it managged to do an amazing character development in such a short time.
And I think that the thing this show made the best was the character arc, I don't think I've seen a show that makes it as well as The End Of The Fucking Wold did.
Defenetly one ofthe best shows of the year.
Absolutely superb. It's the start of January 2018, and I am already pretty sure this will be my favorite show of the year. Funny, unique, beautiful, heart breaking and inspiring all in one perfect 8 episode mini-series. Oh, and the sound track is off the hook wonderful. For anyone into film making, they did some very clever things with the way the dialog, music and film is edited. Enjoyable on every level.
How could you do this to me? Ending the season like this? OMG! I need to know what will happen now. Please! It was a gorgeous work! I watched it all at once! I'm already addicted to it!
i watched this series in its entirety a couple of years ago pretty much solely because i used to be a fan of Graham Coxon, who did the soundtrack. pretty much the only reasons i didn’t rate this 1/10: great cinematography, good acting, and some occasional good scenes.
much of this series was cliché and predictable, especially the second half. above all, i found nothing to like about the two main characters. just terrible human beings all around.
Oh. My. God. If you haven't watched it yet, then what are you doing with your life? You need to watch this. Also, I need a second season right now, because it DESTROYED me. Also, the soundtrack is sooooooooo goooooooooooood
That was really nice, expected a stupid comedy and got this emotional drama that is going on. Well crafted work of art that I think that is suitable to be a movie if someone wanted to do that.
I enjoyed binging over it.
really great show, as others have said the sound track is just awesome, but the story is brilliant, its one of those where you just keep going to the next one without even thinking, its not a particularly long show only 8 episodes at just over 20 minutes, characters were all brilliant, well acted, well shot.... nothing more to say other than everybody needs to watch this!
Loved it strange but verry bice begining just to caught the audiance interest and the ending is just wonderfoul i reccomend it its not verry long and its just great
loved it , its one of a kind
Loved the British humor and the two main characters.
I’ve seen ya skatin, ya prettay shit
I really enjoyed this it had a the feel of the late 70s early 80s but they had smartphones and tablets it reminded me of the show SEX EDUCATION not so much the plot just the general feel of it shame there wasn't a 3rd season but best to leave us wanting more rather drag it out until it turns to poop.
This show is gonna have a pretty niche audience. But those that like it, might love it. It is quirky, weird, uncomfortable, and just outwardly strange at times. The first season was unique and solid and didn't need a follow up season. The second season comes, spins everything on its head, and I think got even better. Despite not being my favorite thing I have ever watched, it is so short and enjoyable that everyone should at least check it out.
Average Season Review: 7.75/10
Recommendation: At Least Give it a Whirl (For Quirky British Comedy Fans)
Well fuck such a great show what a ride and its from the United Kingdom best show I ever saw from them :). Best cast also I liked all of them also the rapist was a good actor :D
I will admit that this show is quite quirky but that didn't make me love it any less. There's a lot of dark humour here which I loved but there were also some cringe moments here.
This was a truly amazing experience. I do believe that binging this is the proper way of watching it, with a small break between seasons. Beyond that, I am at a loss of words for it. The story is very smartly laid out from the points of view of each character, with their stories coming together in incredibly satisfying ways. The soundtrack is so good you’re going to be listening on it’s own, with not a single song feeling out of place. And the emotions; oh the emotions of this. They are extremely good at making you feel stuff. Whether that is surprise, fear, or disgust. At the end, I was left feeling sad that there was not more, but the end was so satisfying on it’s own, that you are left with no choice but to gladly accept it.
This is truly worth your time.
I have just seen the show is ended. What the hell!! Why? So disgusting to know. I'm going to think that at least it hasn't been fucked up and may it's cut on time but hell, I really desired a third season of this.
I really really love it.
Summary: "Ok"
Love this show
Well, what can I say... it's f***ing weird and fantastic at the same time.
After watching the trailer i was like "what the hell..." but I give it a chance because it looked quite cool at the same time. We got 2 seasons and each episode is around 20 min, so it's very easy to watch and the time flys watching this. This has a good story and the 2 principals actors are fantastic, they do the weird/awkward characters very well and at the same time kinda funny the way they treat every situation in the "f*** it" way.
Btw the cinematography and the soundtrack are absolutely fantastic.
Did not enjoy S2 as much as S1. Overall a good series.
Now that was a well made tv series, every second of both seasons were great! The plot was super & all cast were fantastic! I loved the soundtrack that went great with parts of the series.
I didn't think I would like the show after watching the first 2 episodes. James was perhaps a little too dark at the start and Alyssa was a bit whiny. But as their character grew I could connect with their flaws as well as the emotional baggage that they carried with them. Hoping the second season is as good as the first.
was happy with how they ended s1.
was very disappointed when they announced season 2, as I hoped they wouldn't ruin it.
and they didn't. very well done yet again.
lots of lines are very good.
Wait, was that the end of the f---ing series?
F---ing thought-provoking stuff.
Really reminds me of the f---ing things I thought I could f---ing do and f---ing get away with in my f---ing youth until I f---ing had to face the f---ing consequences and had to f---ing grow up.
F---ing great stuff. ^^<3
It's a short, sad, dramatic, romantic and fun story about a almost man that's bored of killing animals and wants to level up on his murderings.
The progression of them both is somewhat fun to watch, it's like a mistery, a mistery that you know what's the next step but the last one is a surprise. They attract you to see what will come next, to see the progression from what they were to what they will be. I want a second season.
Enjoyed it. Alyssa's play is absolutely awesome. Waiting for the next season.
It was watchable.
Apparently it's getting renewed. I'll keep watching.
This is a beautifully, twisted written show.
Wonderful in every way, so fresh and a bit different, very enjoyable watching!
Hey, will be season 2? I loved this season so much, it was pretty ride :)

A beautiful, twisted and bleak story filled with awesome moments, music and cinematography. It shows an alternative love story completely different from all those cliché-dramatic moments overused in Hollywood. Just 3h20min of fun, love and crude humor of two characters that love each other but not the world around them. The ending is beautifully shot, showing the danger and automatic assumption that James is a psychopath. His narration, followed by him running for his short life while being on his birthday is so heartbreaking that made me cry in the last second. A boy that had no feelings, made a choice of love.
