I haven't seen this show since it aired. I remember being a fan and now I've actually read a bunch of Dresden books. This is a very good pilot. It doesn't spend too much time revealing the world to us. Everything basically starts as it is. This would be the 4th or 5th episode in a different sci-fi show. Blackthorne is an excellent cast as Harry Dresden.
The storyline of a lost kid who is a cuckoo egg. Valerie Cruz is a good Lt Murphy though we don't really get to see much of her and her relationship but I didn't need to. Not yet anyway.
There's quite a few similarities between this and Supernatural.

Such a good show and a perfect casting for Harry Dresden. The books are awesome!
