Credit to the actor who plays Martin Bashir and the writing team for making him such a slimey character as warranted by his fraudulent manipulation and complete lack of ethics.
Okay, so this manipulating fame-seeking journalist puts a bad taste to all of journalism. On the other hand, we have a naive and lonely princess and an even more naive brother who opens the gates for said manipulation. And he really thinks the boss of that journalist would say anything negative about his underling who's on the verge of getting the story of their lives? Yes, it's the 1990's, but wasn't there any way to confirm the allegations?
