According to Sofia Helin and writer / creator Hans Rosenfeldt, Saga was meant to be killed in this episode. In the very early drafts, Saga died in episode 9 – she was stabbed. But then one of the executive producers on The Bridge ended up intervening and saving Saga. He read the script and said, 'No, that's not going to happen!', and they changed it.
I mean I can't possibly imagine this series without Saga!
He's not trying to drive the adorable kids and Mette from the bridge is he? So I thought ... It's even more grim. Good finale. Suspenseful till the end.
