I don't think I'm gonna LOVE these episodes until I have more of an emotional investment in the show. I want the momentum to keep going, man. I want some feels.
Knew knowing the guys better would make the episoeds more enjoyable. Especially as I'm watching it with my best friend who hasn't seen any!
The chemistry of the brothers is AMAZING!
I like that Sam is a man in a mission while Dean figured out what their father really wants.
I did like Hayley, she had a good dynamic with the guys.
this is possibly my favorite episode of the entire series. there's something that's so great about this episode and i can't quite put my finger on why.
after the pilot, it's really refreshing to see sam and dean coming together to save the campers. more information is shared about john winchester's journal and the plot thickens on finding their dad, and whether he even wants to be found. in these details, we also start to feel more of the separation between sam and dean in how they respond to their father's 'instructions.' despite their differences, though, they make a really great team and both bring different things to the table.
it was also great to see a branch off from the typical 'ghosts' and 'zombies' in these types of horror shows and see different types of lore from different cultures. my aunt used to tell me stories about the wendigo growing up, so it was really cool to see it being adapted for tv like this.

after all this time it still makes my heart jump tbh ❤ but also my rating is gonna be lower for these first and second seasons since, even the first time I remember I stayed for Dean's silly things and the promise that it would get better... and it did.
It's definitely picking up pace, that's for sure. Much better to watch than the first episode, with quite interesting story for the episode where boys are hunting a creature called Wendigo.
Great to see Callum Keith Rennie aka Lew Ashby, as this experienced hunter that's full of himself, very rooted in reality.
Enjoyable watch, nothing more, nothing less. Main arch slowly developing into something bigger.
