Wow, Katie Mcgrath is really killing it as Lena.
The J'onn scenes were also good.
Omg, grow the F¥€k up Lena. If i hear her go on this “you lied to me” rant again I’m done with this show. Like everything shes done since isn’t ten times worst. Boohoo
Another pretty solid episode. Seeing J'onns' father always makes me happy and brings back nice memories (I love his character and the actor).
Lena revealing her secrets to Kara in that way was unexpected. If I could see how Kara betrayed her the dialogue would've been powerful. But I fail to see where Kara betrayed her so I cannot take that part seriously. I get that Lena was betrayed many times and had a very hard past but I don't see where Kara betrays her but keeping her secret identity as Supergirl a secret. IMO we all have the right to keep such personal secrets that only really affect ourself (it would definitely be something different if e.g. Kara killed Lex as Supergirl). I get that Lena is angry at Kara and she has a right to (after all they've been best friends and I too would've been upset (and feel humiliated / like a fool, etc.) if she didn't tell me her secret) but I don't see the betrayal. So Lena may be angry at her, quit their friendship, etc. but what the writer make her do is way over the top IMO.
At least Kara knows now and I hope that the story will get back on track.
Apparently Malefic forgave J'onn (that was much faster than I thought but I don't mind if that's the end of it) and it seems like Alex and Kelly are here to stay (I still miss Maggie but Kelly is alright).
this story line is....ass. they make supergirl so gullible tht she will do whatever to prove her friendship. why show "a friend" your safe zone thts all you got and she let that go. dumbest superhero
We all know what this 'technology' is that the blonde wants to use. SAMARITAN!
Where is Team Machine when you need them.
Also earth bender?? Supercorp are already Korrasami but this is the next level.
This combination of decent story-advancement with sloppy details can be a little frustrating at times.
For example:
Brainy's insta-leap in determining the local Leviathan headquarters location?
Lena's an instant expert in programming Kryptonian control interfaces?
The writers have demonstrated stronger writing skills before, so we know that can do it. But... Sigh.
If they wanted to create conflict between Kara and Lena, I'd rather them have actually made Supergirl/Kara do something bad to Lena or that harmed her in some way than have to sit through this utterly juvenile nonsense of a plotline. Anyone who thinks that a "lie" (which it's not even a lie imo) like not telling your secret identity is passable as "betrayal" needs help.
I would've been fine with this sort of arc if there were a decent justification, and I quite like emotional fallout & angst, but this is insufferable and sours everything around it, especially Lena as a character. Which is unfortunate as I really liked her before all this. I'm also bitter that they make Kara actually feel so guilty about it and act like it's a completely legitimate grievance. Such good acting from Melissa for such a terrible plot. Very frustrating all around though Kara acts admirably through it, and I do adore her for being her hopeful, compassionate, indefatigable self.
Yep, there goes Lena; being a LUTHOR.
well this episode definitely hurt me a lots
it seems that alex being a lesbian is the main story for her.
Another fairly good episode, it's frustrating when the episode is decent but supercorp scenes are like this, only reaction to them was : AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

I now can see why this series is constantly dropping audience. The writng is just sooo careless and amateurish. J'onn for unknown reasons can teleport inside Malefic "cell" (maybe cause he's sensing his brother) but Malefic cannot teleport outside...OK. J'onn comes in and - yeah they have a reunion moment - but how the fuck J'onn doesn't even acknowledges they are trapped in a lab-cell? And finally how moronic is the final scene between Alex and Kelly:
"You healed me. No, really YOU HEALED ME! And I wanna heal you"
"Ok but how do you know it'll work?"
"Cause you H.E.A.L.E.D. M.E."
WTF is that trash? It's more comical than dramatic/heartwarming. It's almost a meme of a dialogue.
