This was a dumb premise. Zane sacrificed himself last season by taking a huge hit to his reputation. Why did everyone think he was supposed to stay on the wall? He must have foreseen it was one of the consequences, and so should have everyone else

HOLY F*#$!!! Now THIS is a season opener! And not just ANY season opener, this is a REAL "Suits" season opener!! This isn't anything like the crap of last season, noooooo. This was about the team coming together to fight something seemingly insurmountable for one of their own; and with outcomes similar to what made this show so great in the first place. It takes off in the very first scene that all of the original cast members (who are left) come together. The writing in that scene alone shows that we're back from the abyss of the last season. They didn't even need to rely on gratuitously using the effingheimer and other blue terms like they did last season, they actually beeped out the three times it was used but the excellent writing easily carried it without a problem. The show is back to its true form and I like it!!!

Suits isn't Suits without Mike so I reaaaally hope they're bringing him back for this season. The way it's going, it looks like they might have to.
Stating the obvious when I say that probably 80% of everyone watching this show had been waiting for Donna&Harvey to work out for ... well not quite 12 years, but 9 seasons, so hell to the yes, it's lit.

Not entirely behind the whole parade about Zane's name. It's not practical whatsoever, it just seems like a game of pride as this point. But I guess they'll have to act on that soon. Only that to me, the decision to not take the name down, of a person who's not even at the firm anymore, comes off a little cry-baby-esque. :person_shrugging::female_sign:

Ok, the last 2 episodes of season 8 were really terrible, but the first 5 minutes of this already made up for it. The scene with Louis, Harvey and Donna... :joy::joy::joy:

That ending shit has got to be the most “that really can’t happen in real life, can it?” in this entire show, and Suits has had A LOT of those…
