Hello Arihnda
Ryder Azadi This Is A Bold Move
"Where is your aarmy now, Jedi ?" - now that was a cool moment.
Still, the plan was a bit stupid. It cost too much and they was to much risk involved that they may loose. But it was a nice action sequence and seeing the wolfs deal with the stormies was great.
Well, this felt like a too rushed bit of a mess but the fighting/action was cool.
The beginning felt way too detached from the last episode - too much happened in between and I would've liked to see a few of their next moves like how Hera managed to escape from Lothal.
I did like Ryder's task though - at first I was convinced that it was part of their plan but then I really stated to question things given that it didn't go that well and apparently only Ezra and Rider knew of that plan? It was a big gamble and perhaps not the best plan but I'm glad for them that it worked out.
Btw: Is that Morai on Sabine's armor (the drawing of the bird)?
It also sucked that Rukh is back without any hint of what happened after what Sabine and Zeb did to him...
I'm glad that Hondo's back though (it's kinda ridiculous how easy smuggling is though given that the empire should easily be able to spot their ship - even optically).

[8.7/10] I imagine, as most finales in the animated corner of the Star Wars universe are, the finale of Rebels will be imbued with great emotion, tough choices, potent spirituality, and heightened drama. But for a penultimate episode, showing the series’s more fun side, its ability to do great action and adventure, and showing off its slate of great secondary characters is a nice way to honor the sort of things Rebels has proven itself adept at, even when they don’t necessarily fit into the epicness of a last hurrah.
“A Fool’s Hope” gives us a superb misdirect with Ryder, a stellar last stand on the ore-crawler that’s been the temporary base of the insurgents on Lothal, and plenty of stealth saves, amusing quips, and neat beats in battle that capture the ebb and flow of a great Star Wars skirmish.
I have to admit, I totally bit on the Ryder fake out. Maybe it’s just the vocal presence of Clancy Brown, who’s basically never voiced a character who didn’t have a little doublecross in him. But part of me thinks that’s what Rebels was banking on as a little in-joke for its older viewers, as it made what seemed like an obvious ruse by Ryder against Governor Pryce into something you could buy.
The actual fight between Pryce’s forces and Ezra’s was superb. Each of the Spectres got great moments in battle. Sabine had a nice unbroken shot of taking out Imperial flyers while jolting around with her jetpack. Zeb got to use the laser equivalent of machine gun and do a berserker run on some stormtroopers. Even Chopper got to trick a baddie and send him plummeting to his doom.
It’s a great outing for the various secondary characters on the show as well. Though they didn’t get to do much but shoot at things, it’s nice to see the likes of Kallus, Ketsu, Visago, and more join the fray. But there were plenty of great moments to go around. Hondo in particular was in rare form, coming up with a plan to evade the Imperial blockade that was both clever and tense, bantering with his second, and blasting Imperials out of the sky. Plus the clone troopers got a nice last day in the spotlight as well. They’re working as a team, and taking out a pack of stormtroopers, felt very poetic and heartening.
While in the end, it went a little long, what I appreciated about this fight is that it had a flow and progression to it. It wasn’t just a big helping of empty action. The tide would turn, and you had cheer-worthy moments like Hera showing up as the cavalary, or Ezra calling the lothwolves to their side. This wasn’t just an undifferentiated fight, it was a fight that progressed and was full of stellar moments that connected with one another.
Overall, this was a lighter episode, one that made things a little tidy at time, but still full of good cheer, exciting moments, and fistpump-worthy scenes. As heavy as I imagine the ending will be, it’s nice to get a bit of good, thrilling fun before the show takes its final bow.
