I had to pause it for how hard I was laughing. Great voice acting here!
Like previous episode this is a sequel epiosde of the two Mudd episodes in TOS, which are mostly memorable for Mudd's "girls". I don't really understand why writers like Mudd that much. I don't. The episode is pretty much modeled like the TOS episodes: something about fraud, drugs, hot babes and a flamboyant Mudd. Mmmh..... okayish but ultimately repetitive. We've seen this before. Spock in love is quite amusing though. The fact that Christine has a major appearance in this episode is great. Too often she was overlooked.

[7.7/10] Count me as a fan of Harry Mudd’s. There’s just something about having the unabashed cad contrasted with the generally upstanding members of Starfleet that tickles my funny bone. It’s great that The Animated Series could get Roger C. Carmel back. His voicework is top notch and he’s still vocally expressive in animation (which, while they’re doing fine, isn’t true for all of the live action cast). The limited animation on the show is that we miss Carmel’s great facial expressions and gestures, but you take what you can get.
Like most Mudd episodes, this one is something of a lark. This time, Mudd’s hawking “love potions” and manages to pitch Nurse Chapel on one to gain Spock’s affections and ends up spilling some in the vents. There’s a chase and a chance encounter with some giant rock creatures (no word on whether they’re related to the one from “The Savage Curtain”) and some onboard drama from the love followed by intense hatred. (Mudd thought he was selling snake oil and didn’t realize the love potions actually worked briefly, though were followed by periods of hate). But for the most part it’s just an excuse for Mudd and the crew to caper around.
Again, as someone on team Spock/Chapel (Spapel? Chock?) it’s always nice to see the two of them paired up, and Spock feeling this overflowing devotion to “Dear Christine” and knowing something’s off was nice. Plus, I’m pretty sure my heart grew three sizes when he called Kirk a “dear friend.” Seeing Mudd huckster his way through the Enterprise and nab a shuttlecraft was a good bit of fun as well.
The comedy was on point too. I laughed like hell when Kirk tried to beam up, and we cut to a pair of crewman just dancing in the transporter room. Heck, even Spock falling in love with Lion Lady briefly was oddly comic. That’s what you hope for when Mudd shows up -- a neat enough caper with some good laughs, and “Mudd’s Passion” makes for a fine finish to the Mudd trilogy.
