The first sequence of the episode was really good and tense, but the rest of the episode was pretty disappointing. Writing feels kinda lazy, and overall the show feels like it's just gonna be another generic spy flick. Hopefully it improves.
OMG, it's demoralizing even watching this unit. I empathize with River. It really felt like slowing down after that first sequence. What I don't understand: If it's a training exercise shouldn't everything, including the description of that guy, be recorded and therefore be verified who made the mistake?
67 | The first sequence was so tense but unfortunately anti-climactic. It gave false expectations to the stakes of this show. Slow Horses tells about terrorism activity in kind of the lowest level of MI5 point of view. Gary Oldman who played Jackson Lamb, an old and grumpy boss easily steals the show. This first episode could be more optimal in delivery. It has a good cast and plot material, hope this show improves in the next episode.

Oh no I was enjoying this and then it turned into anti White garbage where Le Evil Right Wingers are the bad guys... shame, I'd heard good things about it.
It's so good to Gary Oldman doing something like this. This has proved so funny already!
I was gonna make a crack about the right honorable M. Oldman getting fat, but found out he put on weight for this role (he wore a fat suit when he played Winston Churchill).
Wow....
I must say, first ep was... boring. I'll give it another chance with another ep, hopefully it will pick up.
