Sean not kissing Alice was the biggest relief. Exactly how I hoped it would be handled. I've seen too many shows with going on that road. Not only is Alice just a kid but she's also the daughter of the only man helping Sean out. Putting those two together would be weird.
It was nice to actually see the mom, the flashbacks really gave us more insight on Jimmy's grief.
I didn't expect or like that ending. I hate when a show forces romance between the two leads..
Harrison Ford aka Indiana Jones way too high on edibles is priceless
The best episode so far in my opinion. I thought the first half of the season was a little all over the place, but I felt like it finally all came together in this episode.
Not sure how I feel about the ending, but we’ll see where it goes.
Weakest episode so far, by now I'm just watching cause of the cast and the atmosphere they managed to create
- Paul opening up with Liz was sweet and developed their only brief interactions so far. The pairing has potential and having Paul not just be the mentor, gives him more depth
- Derek is the funniest character by far
- I hate whenever they show a character getting drunk just as a poor excuse to get him to do something dumb or embarrassing later
- It was nice to see that Jimmy's marriage was not flawless, but they could have used that in a more complex way to build up his arc, rather than just to have him hook up with Gaby. Really, I'm so happy whenever they manage to keep things platonic between the protagonists - otherwise it's just a cheap way to get the story going and create some "conflict"
- Same goes for the Alice-Sean storyline, their individual development and identity stopped for 2-3 eps just to have them go down this path? WHY?? They were so interesting and had a great siblings vibe, I could have seen them helping each other out to open up to the world, having now someone to look their back... but no, let's go for romance
Good comedy this episode but balanced nicely with important character moments and adding some depth to the characters, particularly Jimmy. It felt slightly less heartwarming than other episodes but that was because we get that extra depth and the themes here really worked. Plus there were still plenty of heartfelt moments. The cast and writing continue to be great.
Great episode, happy for the flashback peeks, especially the way they almost start and stop in the middle of scenes. Very clever use of the device.
glad to see we're not hooking up teenage girls with full grown adults in the program. that's a little pedophilic
This really took me by surprise
I was meh for the first few episodes. Now I'm not sure why I continue to watch this. It's just not that good.
Well, that kiss came out of nowhere. They have no romantic chemistry.

Loved this. If anyone knows Bill Lawrence's earlier shows, you can start to see where certain stories are headed, and if I know him, that means there's a punch to the heart coming... God, I'm loving this, but hating having to wait for more!
