I’m loving this show so much. It balances the beauty of the quiet introspective moments with the action very well. Also love the John-Mariko duo.
The only very small gripe I still have is them speaking English when they are supposed to be speaking Portuguese. But I’m trying to ignore it so I can enjoy it fully :joy:

What a cliffhanger. Best episode yet

Huge Episode!
Explosive and side splitting throughout.
A lot of political gaming going on and some laugh out loud moments. I wasn't expecting that at all but funny nonetheless.

I get more excited and eager for each episode as we progress. A brilliant show.

The subtitles are the only thing that detracts from really enjoying the acting and the spectacle. But there is no other way, as dubbing to English would be a much bigger disappointment and cheapen the quality of this series.

What is more enticing is Shōgun will get better as the mini-series progresses. Truly a brilliantly made and acted show.

This is madness!
Madness?

IT IS WAR!

So, war. I’m not sure about this change. The original show was about political schemes and war was just something lurking in the distance. Furthermore, there was more to Anjin-san discovering Japan’s culture and habits, and his relationship with Mariko.
But even with the above changes, the show is still great, and hopefully, it will stay that way.

I was confused about their conversation after but i knew it would happen & what an ending!

I can't get over how absolutely beautiful the actress playing Mariko is.. and a good episode, but Blackthorne annoys me for some reason. not sure if it's the actor or the character he plays but I keep wishing he dies so he goes away.

This episode was pretty good. I loved all the humor in it. And looks like some love drama as well as some war. Personally though the end felt out of character, distinctly not the eightfold fence. But it DID feel like a games of throne cliff hangar. I guess we'll see what it leads to- the gaslighting felt pretty obvious.

Kashigi Omi (Yabushige's nephew)'s face during the ending of Episode 4 is basically that sicko yes meme.
