The emotional breakdown that Maeve goes through after cutting her finger with Jean was one of the most heartbreaking and beautiful scenes this show has ever had, I couldn’t stop tearing up
Ik there was a similar scene in season 3, but the protest scene felt so corny. I was liking it for a sec until they all started to do cringy ass clapping. Also, I liked the Maeve and Jean scenes. Very touching and wished that happened way earlier instead of right before the end. Also liked the Adam scene.
I’m actually really happy about this ending for Otis and Meave. They just weren’t meant to be together.
THE JEFF BUCKLEY SONG NOOOO :(
maeve’s scenes with jean were great.
the only issue i really had with this episode was that protest bit. i’m all for disability/accessibility discussion but it just felt a bit crammed in and cliché, the way they did it. it also ties in with the nitpick i have this season of trying to fit in too much.
anyway, did love this!
The scene of Maeve and Otis’s mum was perfect. Great ending as well. The school protest was so cheesy though.
Anyone else now baffled why there had to be a contest? Couldn't O and Otis make a 2 person clinic work?
Beau has been raising some red flags slowly but surely and I'm glad they showed that. Especially with the quick back pedals and excuses he gives. It's all to common that young women find themselves trapped in relationships like this (men too ofc but more common in women). I'm glad she Viv saw through him quick and has a great best friend for support.
Jean and Maeve's scenes were perfect. So glad they got to bond on that level and Maeve got some solid parental support in her life. Her and Otis may not be meant to be but that connection was worth it for this.
Until now maybe the best episode of season but that doesn't mean its a great episode. Generally this season and episode and also Otis and Meave story deserve better. Story building at very low level and disappointment. They rushing to say something about every taboos and this makes the audience uncomfortable. They were doing this previous seasons but they were doing it in very strong story and slowly so we could feeling. In this season it is impossible to feel because every scene like a public service announcement.
Holy shit the waterworks I couldn't stop crying.
That scene with Maeve and Jean too holy crap.
Oh i liked the end of the episode :)
Also Adam telling his opinion to his dad :)
I hope this helps both of them!
Like a wake up call for Michael.
Complete brainwashing tool in the form of show. Created to attack taboos and traditional people, attacking Christianity and following the US's plan to gayify everyone not to have the ask questions.
S4 has been quite average, but I feel they’ve done really well with Maeve’s storyline. Everything else has felt disconnected but they’ve told her story beautifully
Jean and her sister are really quite different.
Ruby: "I'm working for someone new now Otis." LOL, she must really hate Otis to work for Connor :o xD
"You're both super problematic." - Their PR really isn't going well :o
Otis being stuck in the elevator with O was nice. At first his panicking was entertaining and then they even found some common ground / started talking.
Beau was a bit strange from the beginning and felt way too obsessed about Viv but I didn't see any real red flags as it felt somewhat normal for a movie character. Him forcefully grabbing Viv's hand was quite a shocking relevation!
Isaac's stunt was quite interesting. "You've got mischief in your eyes."
Dodgy Mo's calm "cause it's pink" really got me xDDD
I don't really get why Adam tried to move the tractor instead of just stating that it isn't his tractor/responsibility (and that he cannot drive it (yet)). Anyway, luckily that girl likes Adam :)
The sister fight between Jean and her sister was great :D Especially when Maeve arrived at the end xDDD "Come in". I really felt that "GET HERE NOW!" :D The talk between Jean and Maeve was lovely though :)
I'm a little bit sad that Adam got so angry at his father at the end as Michael already changed so much and is trying hard but at the same time he really deserved it for his actions in the past (unfortunately it isn't that easy to make it up to your son for mistreating him during his whole childhood... :o). Anyway, Adam had some valid points and I'm glad that Michael apparently reflected upon it - I really hope that he'll find his passion and that the catering will work out.
Last but not least, I'm just a bit concerned that we'll get a proper and satisfying conclusion now that I've realized that we only have a single episode left (or one and a half based on the duration). I really don't see how that'll be enough and it probably won't but hopefully it'll at least be decent/acceptable (I assume that the episodes so far have been filmed with a 5th season in mind so it'll probably be somewhat of an abrupt change; I'm also really missing Ola and Jacob! - I hoped that they'll return in some form but IMO that isn't really possible with just a single episode left).
PS: I'm kinda hoping that Viv and Jackson will become a thing. I'm also hoping that Ruby will find someone. I'm actually not sure if Maeve or Ruby would fit better with Otis. Maeve is currently well on track but she still has ways to go (I mainly mind her smoking tbh). Ruby is already nice but pretends to be a different person when in public. I guess let's wait and see...
Very heartfelt, This show just kept improving.
Bummer It's the final season.

I really wanted more from the Viv and Jackson duo throughout the show! Their friendship is so precious
