The running joke with the horny couple killed me.
I know the teachers are supposed to be a little bit incompetent for comedic purposes, but how do you mistake two whole ass adults for a couple of teenagers? And what were those German tourists doing getting on a strange bus anyway?
I'm amused that Emma Mackey, a native French speaker, had to pretend she didn't know a lick of French in this episode.
The Kiss finally happened and when I tell you I screamed... But, of course, it's a shame that Maeve basically cheated on Isaac. That kind of ruined the moment a little bit.
They talked about the voicemail finally.
The most ridiculous bus trip yet.
I would have been so disappointed in Otis if he’d been dishonest. This is great. But I find that at least 90% of the main characters left this episode confused.
’m gonna be honest and say this is the episode I’ve enjoyed the most so far this season. There was a lot more comedy while still having some nicer and deeper moments. I know everyone’s raving about how they’ve let all the characters interact with each other instead of keeping the story Maeve/Otis-centered like the first season, but I feel like this makes every interaction a bit superficial. They don’t really spend too much time with each dynamic and this kind of takes away the depth of the characters for me. I understand wanting to talk about as many issues as possible - which is obviously great - but I feel like when they talk about deeper issues the lines feel kind of forced and superficial? Idk it’s just the vibe I’ve been getting. Also, it feels like the writers are actually writing more than they are showing… don’t know if it makes sense to anyone. Like for example, in season 1 Eric stops dressing like himself because he’s been traumatized by the guys that beat him up, and that whole sequence from the moment he’s in his room choosing his clothes to the moment where he shows up to school without his colorful outfits is just so powerful even though he doesn’t really have any big lines. I feel like that kind of way of telling a story has been kind of missing this season. They all seem to talk and explain things like they’re actually teaching people about stuff, but sometimes it is just as powerful to show something rather than explain it with lines.
Holy fuck what an incredible episode. Every character's arc basically peaked at the same time.
Okay, but I ship Rahim and Adam!! Both deserve better than Eric anywayy
Im happy…. Sad for ruby…… but that was kinda….. im glad
Well that poo incident kind of ruined Rahim's persona for me.
Beautiful episode, loved the speech of living in the moment and the trenches. I hated that Maeve sort of cheated on a sort of boyfriend but okays.
Those bus scenes were fun! :D When Collin payed the driver to go faster, the crash (except the embarrassing discussion afterwards - that was important for the story / character developments though), when they forgot Maeve (and Otis :D), etc.
Jakob interacting with a coffee machine was also entertaining :D Jean got quite pissed by the doctor's comment. It's quite unfortunate that Jakob doesn't trust Jean but I cannot blame him. Their relationship was never an easy one.
Maeve was quite angry at Aimee. I wonder how that'll continue. I also hope that Aimee and Steve will be fine soon.
I'm super happy that Maeve got to hear Otis' voice box message at last! And they kissed <3 That's nice! :D (Not for Ruby though... :o)
Things will be quite complicated now - no wonder Maeve is confused...
Let's see what'll happen next. But at least Maeve and Otis both know the full story now and aren't in the dark anymore.
Not a fan of poop jokes, and I don't care so much about the Otis/Maeve relationship, I'm more interested in seeing Adam-Rahim and Jackson\Cal relationships evolve. And Hope admitting that her problem with sex stems from her own dissatisfaction in her life and going into therapy with Jean.
And the fallout between Jean and Jakob was quite expected.
"I shed blood... over what?" - "You fell over":rofl::rofl:
I don't know if I prefered people talking about sex in a war cemetery or the comment from Adam, who is played by a 25-year-old actor that those below 18 that died in the war "were our age".

I mean, I know the characters of maeve and otis were written with the idea of them being together by the end already planned, but given how the past season and episodes developed, I wish they used the excuse of them being stuck together at a gas station for the sole purpose of them realising their relationship is way too rotten by now to make it work and they should embrace the partners they had now.
