I am really glad Netflix listened to the fans and decided to make this final episode. I wasn't able to watch the show until I learned they were giving the show its deserved ending, watched the two seasons in one week. So beautifully crafted, such an amazing show and great concept, more shows should be like this. Definitely one of the best shows I've ever watched, the final felt a bit rushed and a bit confusing at times, but the ending made it all worth while.
Rayan: I didn't think this was possible. <- great nod to the reality of it.
I was happy to see the familiar characters again but the episode was pretty mediocre until the ending, which really made me forget about the rest and experience a lot of emotions, making the episode totally worthwhile.
I've been a fan of the Wachowskis since the Matrix, really relating to their expression of non-conformity in most of their works. Sense8 was definitely an extension of that, showing us that no amount of traditions or social expectations should ever stop us from doing what we love and living how we want to.
Beautiful ending to an amazing series. Definitely one of the best shows out there.
Thought this was the best show ever. Now I am sure it is.
I feel like this finale wasted time telling us things inconsequential to the story, in detriment of going deeper into more interesting matters. Introducing Lacuna as a whole new layer to the story was totally unnecessary. All that sidetracking only to tell us that after murdering his entire cluster, Whispers is creating mindless "zombies" because he's afraid of dying? That could have been done differently and in a less disconnected way.
Wolfgang's mom also being his sister. What was even the point?
I'd have liked more scenes about Rajan, the Detective dude and Will's cop friend coming to terms with the existence of a whole different species of human beings.
Also, Kala suddenly being in love with her husband, and him being totally cool with the fact that all the while she's kinda been cheating on him with Wolfgang. That deserved a deeper look and at least an honest conversation. Like Dani, Lito and Hernando's relationship had.
The more interesting parts about this show have always been the relationships, and the human and emotional elements. The BPO global conspiracy was just a plot device to push the story forward and give our characters a common enemy. But this final episode concentrated too much on tying up those loose ends, and giving us explanations on how Angelica and Jonas tied into it all, and sacrificed that human part that's what makes this show unique and compelling.
I enjoyed it, because even when it's not at its greatest, the show is still really good. But, at the same time, I'm convinced it could have been a lot better. I'm sad to see it end.
The end credits with BTS of the cast and crew were amazing. I need a whole DVD of that.
I’ve been waiting for this to come out for quite a while (and may or may not have binge watched the existing two seasons as soon as I saw this was here - exact same feeling as the first time through 10/10), and while it certainly could have been done better, I still feel that it was a great finale. I understand that it might be really hard to wrap up a season worth of story in a single episode, a lot of it didn’t feel fully satisfying and genuine. The part with the rocket launcher felt really sudden, and same with Naomi’s mother at the end to be specific. The rest of it was great - the characters all were just the same and wholly genuine and the final scene and the high cinematic quality were all there, but a few unnecessary plot points were explored.
All in all, loved the episode, but I don’t think they could do anything short of renewing it for many more seasons that would leave me feeling fully satisfied.
The sequencing of the club scene and the 'handover' that was more like a scramble, was one of the tightest of this entire show, with a single shot fired. I thought it was beautifully done.
How to get away by having a gangbang without society, religion, family and government getting in your way - do it through a collective mind where souls and heart are connected together.
For an episode named "Love conquers all", there is a whole lot of killing.
Otherwise, the episode was okay considering the time they had to film it.
I wouldn't say it's a masterpiece but it had the merit of giving closure to the viewers.
The way they filmed it was interesting :)
Is there a word for when you're relieved, happy and a bit sad, all at once?
For me, the best shows are the ones that leave you wanting more, and this will definitely be the case here. The story is finished in a satisfactory way but I also think that the side characters were so entertaining that their stories could have been told as well. At the same time I'm also relieved these stories weren't told since it's hard to keep it balanced in a way that it doesn't start to drag on for too long, meaning that the show gets to fade to black at its peak.
Thanks to everyone involved that made this happen - even Netflix, for listening to reason and not denying us a proper farewell.
This was a great wrap up of this show. And someone needs to write Kala-Rajan-Wolfgang fanfic immediately
They should do a spin off.
I've been dragging it out for weeks to finally watch the series finale. I don't really know why that happened but today was the day. And boy was I not disappointed. There were tears, lots of laughter, some hysterical screaming (I closed the windows right then and there) and I had an all-around happy time for 2.5 hours. That was just beautiful and I'm thankful that the series got a proper ending.
Sense8 will always have a very special place in my heart. <3 <3 <3
That was amazing. So glad they gave a proper ending to this show.
It was a pleasant surprise to see sense8 appear in my Up Next list after 13 months. There have been less than a handful of shows I've watched that ended before their time yet still aired a final wrap-up episodeto tie up some loose ends and give us, the fans, some closure. Investing time in a program we really like is not only an investment of time, but also of the relationships we've developed with the characters. I was sad to see this show end last year (pending yesterday's last episode). I always love the Wachowskis projects and have geen a fan of J. Michael Straczynski since Babylon 5. I think that this show was just too confusing for a lot of peope to follow - complicated, sophisticated, something to really think about, just the type of program that that I love, but then again I'm a lifelong SciFi and tech fan (as well as tech tester) and concepts that are thought provoking help expand minds, well at least those minds that understand and appreciate such intricacies (I'm just not saying this right, sounding maybe arrogant and belittling to others, however that is not my intent). sense8 will be missed.
Tears like rivers :’’’’(((
It was a great, proper ending for this exceptional tv series. I was watching every episode with tears. Watchowskis are the best!

I get that being an early series finale mandates resolving the plot, so there is no mythology ditching like the Christmas special, which makes that one such an infectious celebration. Even then, the mythology/BPO plot here comes thick and fast and (sadly) still of little interest to me, like they want to squeeze as many seasons-long plot points as possible into it.
Thankfully all the 8 characters are mostly together for the duration for it to be bearable, and in between there are some trademark joyful interactions, psychic montages, and music interludes to liven things up. They could have cut all the BPO plot down more quickly and judiciously to my liking, but at least they know the series' strength and reserve the last half hour to be all that is special about it, which leaves this story on a high (iconic last shot, too). Even though I've never loved the series as much as many, I find myself youtubing and browsing through its past memorable scenes, and still replaying that lovely finale end credit. There is no series as capable as generating so many generous, earnest scenes of empathetic connection quite like this, and I'm going to miss that unique aspect of it a lot. Goodbye, sensates.
