What do you mean it took 4 seasons to get a musical number? They should have done it ages ago, loved it!

boring. and also found it hard to suspend my disbelief with this episode's problem .

First of all, the musical number was weird and felt out of place (for well executed musical numbers see Blackish S04E01).
Second, I'm a chemistry student and I've no idea what nitrogen hydroxide is (I'm 80% sure it doesn't even exist). Not even google could make up it's mind, suggesting either nitric acid or ammonia (neither are blue liquids btw). But when they react with methane, the yield either nitromethane, which is both highly flammable and explosive, or hydrogen cyanide, which is not only ridiculously poisonous but also hella flammable. Neither of those options seem good. Also if you mix anything with N and CH4 it is basically impossible it will only yield H2O and O2.
So, third, if you're gonna do a show with a strong scientific base, GET THE DAMN SCIENCE RIGHT!
