The script is TERRIBLE, super clichéd and predictable. As a hardcore fan of this kind of genre, I still can't bring myself to continue watching this crap past episode 5

It’s like some high school students were hired to write the script. This is some seriously horrible show & acting.

It's terrible but I can't help it, I like it!
The Salvation's 1st season was a disaster.
I still can't wrap my head around the fact they've managed to play us with all those clichés you've seen a million times before, and that in spite of that people still like it. It's nothing short of amazing!

Oh, and Darius is hot!

I watched the pilot when it first came out, I hated it so I decided not to keep watching. Years later I see the series on my suggestions with high ratings, I give it another chance but no, it's still shit. I don't get it. Acting is bad, script is bad, everything is bad.

This whole show paints the US as the only saviours of the world even though for 2 seasons they can’t get their shit together.

The plot is terrible and overly dramatic at every turn. I hate that I have issues giving up on a tv show and feel the need to finish it.

There is an exaggerated amount of American patriotism that it becomes comical. The acting is bad and so are the dialogs. And the ‘fiction’ is over the top like let’s build an EM drive in a couple of days. Nevertheless I enjoy watching the show although season 2 is more mediocre than the first season.

I really really enjoyed this show. Typically I'm not interested too heavily in shows without a procedural type feel, but with Salvation, the drama and intrigue kept continuing. It was a lot of fun with the conspiracies and drama and I really enjoyed the characters and their interactions with each other. I really hope for a season 2!

The writing, screenplay and direction went from 10 to -10 (From a scale of 10) from season 1 to season 2. It was such a horrible experience going through season 2. I literally wanted the asteroid to hit the earth in the series to escape from the horrible writing. It was only and only because of Darius's and Liam's acting for which I could finish off the series. Season 1 gave high expectations and Season 2 broke all of them!
A very bad choice of series if you are looking for the SciFi genre.

OMG.. this plot only work for people who have no brain cells.. it's a good idea.. but the script .. with episode after episode just goes from to worst to ridonculous..

Absolutely amazing TV Series can't see it go past 2 seasons but it has a lot of drama and just sucks you in.. just watched all 3 episodes in a row! Would recommend this to any friend who is into Science Fiction kind of stuff.

God these episodes go from bad to worse to nightmare as the series continues...I'm in 1x10 and it's by far the worst. That's a pity cause it had a good plot to begin with...

I have seen two episodes. I can't imagine any way in which this series isn't going to be too long. I'm almost tempted to wait until it's over, then find someone who has seen it and knows video editing, and cut off all the unnecessary drama from it and turn it into a movie.

Watched the first episode. Didn't really grab me. This must be a mini series because I can't see this thing going for a long run of episodes or even seasons

Is this show stupid? Yes. Is the acting bad? Yes. Are the storylines improbable and often annoying? Yes.

And yet I love this dumb stupid show.

Maybe it just caught me in the right mood but I'm sincerely crushed this show was cancelled. It understood the assignment and went balls out with its premise. The twist in the final few moments of the final episode had me laughing out loud in incredulity and I weep that I won't get to see where else the crazy ass plot could have possibly gone from there.

RIP Salvation. I hope you're secretly thriving in a bunker somewhere plotting your great return.

Season 1 - It's clear that the script was written by fans of Elon Musk and SpaceX. Some of the scenes were direct rip offs of Elon’s reactions during the initial SpaceX launches (found on YouTube). :grin:

Season 2 - The whole thing falls apart, from a writing perspective. This should have been a single season show, or a mini series. Similar to the Ascension mini series.

First 2-3 episodes were really nice but lost my interest when it's more about the people than the asteroid...

The storyline had promise and the casting is decent, but the more I watch the more disappointed I become. The script is terrible, including cheesy puns in places they don't fit and references that take away from the story rather than add to it. Then they add in random characters that don't make sense to the plot in any way, and those characters seem to vanish without any mention as to where they are. If the script was checked and improved upon the show could have been more successful. Sorry for the writers, but they did not do a good job. Also there's barely any diversity in this show, it's the 2010s and we can do better.

I think the first season was not so bad, but in season 2 there is way to much drama going on. Now the show is just redicilous.

A female U.S. president...? Those darn Russians...? Sheesh, is Hillary Clinton working under a nom de plume?

I loved season 1. Season 2 got a huge "big brother" and tin foil hats ring to it. Season 2 ends with a cliffhanger, although it does finish up most story lines so it's still possible to watch and enjoy.
But you can also stick with just only watching season 1 :-)

I really enjoyed season 1, but season 2 took a wrong turn. Ultimately ending in it being axed. Too bad, I was very much interested if a third season would bring it back on track.
Season 1 : 9 out of 10.
Season 2: 6 out of 10.
Overal, since there is no proper ending to the series: 7 out of 10.

What a finale! There better be a 3rd season!

Season 1 was good, season 2 was...weird.. and it was cancelled on a cliff hanger. Just for anyone thinking of watching it stop after season 1 and you'll be happier for it.

Completely absurd. I have never seen so many twists of the screenplay.

I've tried so hard to like this show. But after 6 episodes, i'm going to call it a bust. It's getting more boring, not less, and the quality of acting is rapidly going downhill.

It's trying to be a "24 meets Armageddon", but missing on all counts unfortunately. It may limp along with a decent sized audience, but in its current path, it'll fail to be a hit series.

I really like this series and if you are a Sci-Fi Fan like me you can think of many scenarios that threaten our planet that can be covered by this series. Earth's position in the Galaxy changing, Sun Flares or changes, Meteors like this first season, colonization of Mars and other hidden objects and other large bodies that can be discovered as a threat or opportunity for mankind. I hope they continue with a Season 2.

Didn't really get much from the 1st episode however, after watching #2...the plot thickens.
