Differing interpretations of what would happen if one could be made invisible by magic are always interesting. Sometimes (as in Wizards of Waverly Place), only the person's body disappears and the clothes remain. Other times (as in this episode), everything the person is wearing disappears too.
I do know one thing about this episode: Mentioning "Coach Sappho" in the girls' (I note the door actually incorrectly says "Girl's") locker room was definitely not a reference intended for the kids watching…
