"Shut your face, you half-melted ten-cent trollop." Alice Cooper, delivering a searing burn!
I do enjoy this show but sometimes it's just so wild, like OF COURSE there is a secret twin brother in Riverdale (who may be the Black Hood or actually the real Clifford), two characters have nicknames like Deep Throat and War Baby, and the mobster of Riverdale just did a blood oath or a sacrificial offering with a highschool boy just a few minutes after we had a scene regarding HIV.
Riverdale's writing staff really need a lesson in subtlety and pay-off.
Of course Clifford Blossom's twin brother is named Claudius, just to make the Hamlet parallel all the more obvious, so we all understand that he's going to replace his brother as the Blossom patriarch and get with his dead brother's wife.
And of course the Lodge's Big Secret Evil Plan is to build a prison. A huge build up to the most inconsequential result. The Lodge's buying up the town just to have complete control is far more interesting than this somehow more threatening prison project.
Where exactly is Polly staying (with twin babies!) while in the Cooper household? Chic took her old room.
"The warden isn't returning my calls." Yeah, because normally it's always a priority for adults to answer phone calls from random teenagers.
I love how they now have to go to the principal to get permission to publish an article, and the principal rejects it under the pretense that it's "not suitable subject matter." They have literally never had to go get permission before, and literally everything they've published up until now would never be considered suitable subject matter for a fucking school newspaper. Yes, I will never stop going insane over how stupid it is that everyone takes the school newspaper seriously.
Just an adult entering a blood pact with a teenager, no big deal here. That's definitely something normal and well-adjusted people would do.
Betty is suspicious of the person in her house that she thinks may be crazy, unhinged, and dangerous. So clearly the best course of action is to go confront this individual with evidence that could potentially blow his cover alone.
If Claudius really did leave home when he was 14, then why would he want revenge on the Lodges? You don't build up a grudge like that when you're 14 years old.
Or is that actually Clifford, and they were just lying to everyone? I don't know. I don't understand any of this. It's all so dumb.
seriously I don't even remotely like this show anymore, I'M ONLY IN IT FOR CHONI MOMENTS <3
Lmao "You half melted 10 cent trollop"!
“Deep Throat” lol, who wouldn’t love a street name like that.

So Hiram Lodge's big, evil plan that has been teased and built up all season long is...a local prison? Seriously? That's it? And of course Cheryl's dead dad had a secret twin brother who ran away to join the Merchant Marines at 14 because this show isn't even pretending to be anything other than a soap opera anymore. Just more of the overall huge letdown that season two and its entirely derivative stories have been after such an entertaining and original season one. But the best of all might be from the synopsis above, where "Betty becomes increasingly suspicious of Chic’s strange behavior." As if Chic hasn't had a neon CREEPAZOID sign on his forehead since the the moment he was introduced. The best explanation I have for things at this point is that the writers all have other plans for next year and they're doing everything that they can to tank this show.
