In the beginning, from an initial, new watcher perspective, it was beyond decent but not great, and much better, also, in comparison, than other shows that I was watching at the time, new(er) shows, just like this one. That's a very good thing, in my book. Furthermore, the further along it went, the more enjoyable and entertaining it became. The episodes that I liked the most were around the second half of the season. Not to mention, it was already more fleshed out at that point, and I had grown accustomed to the story, characters, etc., too. That said, and needless to say, I liked this first season. I was acutely engaged, even in the beginning when I hadn't gotten into the groove of it all, as well as with the episodes that I wasn't THAT into. I hope there will be a second season. It would be a major disservice if there won't be. Fingers crossed.

I really enjoy it so far, especially the psychological mumbo jumbo and the characters. Michael Sheen's character is so complex and can easily turn from scary to anything else.
