Show gets a lot of stick due to Tariq being one of the most hated(if not the most) characters. I was in that mind too when Power finished.
Having said that, the show is actually pretty good and a worthy successor of the original. It gives a much needed fresh viewpoint and take on the show. Michael Rainey Jr. is doing a great job taking on the mantle of Omari Hardwick.
Give this show a miss, better waiting for the Tommy spin off!

Why is there another season of this? Wish they just move on to book 4 & story of Tommy. Money will be better spent.
One of the best Drama so far I think we need 10 episodes in this one. It has passed my expectation, good job. I have enjoyed the introduction a new drug lady but i think she got to be more fierce. Well the ending was such a blast so much to anticipate in the next Season...... You got my 10 stars
It was actually much better than I expected it to be - at least the first episode.
The other characters - Method Man and Mary J are doing great.
Still more excited for the Tommy spin off though, next year
Seriously? Tariq was the worst character on Ghost & they want to make a whole show about him. I can see this being crap but I guess I'll give it try for at least 1 episode.

What I thought was strange that I already saw bits and pieces in season 1, part 1. That Teriq's sister was murdered. I think I'm missing something. So I searched for Power book 1 from ghost.
Can not find.

ON 5121 AFTER FINALE
I have started watching power on TV. Then tv has finished broadcasting so i moved to internet to watch power. It is only series maybe i follow each episode to watch in current time.
This first season started slow. Showed tariq weak but then we saw he is very good.
In the finale only could see tommy and in an episode, 2 bit. Still it was good. Next season, we wont see any of them probably. Because tariq says "this is my way.". But still calls tommy as "uncle tommy". Despite tariq said "you are not my father." to ghost.
So I give 9 / 10. Because tommy was cool. Saxe played good also.

It seems tariq chose a different path then his family's. Even monet could try to threaten tommy. It is sad. Tommy and ghost was the legends but now unexperienced that family can be rival.
And why tommy and 2 bit are not in connection?
Tariq saved his mother from prison but put her to another prison :) but still she will be safe.
Next season will be interesting. Maybe new players can come because without tommy or 2 bit, current actors are not enough to make people watch.
Season one was the best after season 1 the series got more and more a fashion show with the same story with different actors.

Okay... Season one was solid!
Best part of season 1 was Tommy showing up. Time to move on from this show & get to the show about Tommy.
It’s not as bad as I thought it would be but could be lot better. The problem is that Tariq & Tiesha were probably the least interesting characters on Power. I don’t know why 50 Cent thought making a whole show around Tariq & Tiesha was such a good idea. I guess everyone has to have a failure or two before moving on to more successful things. Can’t wait for Tommy spin-off.

I never liked Teriq in Power, he always seemed like a whiney little brat to me.
But I really like this show (at least the first 4 ep. I watched) so far, Tariq has become more of a man of action like his dad, rather than the whiney little shit he used to be.
So far I give it an 8+ definitely potential to become a 10.
