This is another really great premise for an episode, but what really makes it is the fantastic usage of setups and payoffs. This is just a great example of a really well constructed episode - ironic considering the invention here - and one that proves the formula really is as tight and solid of a formula as you would expect.
Plus, it's got a lot of great continuity here with tons of great references to past inventions and lots of great callbacks for long time fans. The guest star here is also one of their best, even if he isn't well known - he's incorporated hilarious and really works.
