Outlander: Season 4

4x13 Man of Worth

so, basically, Roger ruined everyone's life just because his entitled ass thinks that Brianna belongs to him and called it love. actually, he's the other villain of the season.

I will literally never forgive Roger. He changes his mind way too much. Flaky.

You know you're watching a good show when you live with what the characters are going through and when you're sad that it's already the end of the season.

Also:

- That baby's hair is so Bonnett, just sayin'
- Fucking Roger, ya shud have got'n skurvy or be planked! Where were you between their arrival and your own ya wobblemuffin!
- You know this is fiction cause she isn't pissed at all when he eventually does arrive.
- How happy was Ian when he was accepted huh? Also, even the Mohawk knew Roger was a wimp!

It was great to see a lot of scenes with Jamie and Claire again. Young Ian is a good character, much more interesting than Roger, it is a pity that he stayed with the Indians and probably would not feature in future episodes. The scene when he decided to offer himself to the Indians to both save Roger and Jamie and Claire's marriage was very moving. The rest of the episode, not so much. It is a bit comforting that the Indians accepted Ian as their own and he would have a high status among them. I think that Ian is juxtaposed against the weakling Roger, and the treatment both of them receive from the Indians emphasise who is the eponymous "man of worth." Ian, to use terminology from Tolkien, "showed his quality" by his sacrifice for his family, whereas it takes Roger a couple of months to return to Bree, even though he is aware of the trauma she went through. He is so hesitant and doubtful that I am not sure whether he would be a good husband to Bree, maybe it would be better had she married Lord John?

It was a decent finale. There were several great moments and a lot of lovey scenery.

I thought there should be more interaction about Claire and the Mohawk from the future. They have strayed a bit from the books were I believe 5 native american students came back. Since Murtagh is still alive his story has to go somewhere. Bedding the aunt is a good has anything else.

I never liked Roger much, now I absolutely despise him. He's the worst. Whiny, spineless and selfish. How can Brianna not see that? And we lost Ian because of him. The Mohawks cleary got the better end of that deal.

Also they made the letter delivery and reading scene so unnecessarily dramatic. Just fake Murtagh's death. Say you were chasing him and he fell into a river and drowned and you couldn't recover the body. There. Problem solved.

Roger is just the worst. They got my hopes up about him having gone back to the future, but then he just had to return. I'd rather it had been Bonnett on that horse.

Disappointed in Roger. Felt better knowing Ian was going to be ok.

Roger is the most hateful character of all shows. He's so selfish! Can't believe we lost Ian for him.

I was expecting a little bit more for the season finale to be honest...
They accepted the fact that Ian was staying too calmly haha it was like “oh fuck, let’s hug and cry a little bit but I guess there nothing we can do, goodbye.”
The Murtagh and Jocasta scene was soooo awesome! Loved that
And stupid Roger!! I was rooting for him the whole season, if he didn’t show up I would have stopped watching his show. (Nah, but still)

Can’t wait for next season!!

Young Ian looked so happy, he even made me happy and that is hard to do! Thank goodness there was not a major cliffhanger.
