I always thought the show would end with Piper getting out but now Piper already got released and I have no idea what they do with her in season 7. I hope she and Alex stay alive and together until the end of the show.
I AM JUST SO FUCKING SAD TAYSTEE WAS FOUND GUILTY AND FOR BIANCA FOR MOST LIKELY GETTING DEPORTED!! really happy for piper tho.
This season wasn’t the worst season so far but it definitely wasn‘t the best either.
Most of the new characters annoyed me (especially Madison) while lots of the old cast members were dearly missed because they’ve been written out of the show without warning.
I also don’t like what the new writers did to some of the characters we‘ve known and loved for so long. Taystee got a life sentence, Daya became a drug addict and Blanca got sent to an immigration center? I was hoping for a better ending for them. And Fantasy Inmate from the wardens was just unnecessary.
But that‘s all just my personal opinion. I hope season 7 gets better.
That episode was surprisingly disappointing.
It's okay for me that the stabbing didn't happen at the end, but I feel like there was so much buildup for things that never happened or weren't fully explored, like Flaca didn't tell anyone about the score game, Black Cindy never came out with her lie, the sisters had only two or three scenes together and most of it was happening off-screen (the time they spent together in the cell and the killing), Red still has her obsession with Frieda that led nowhere, the Taystee storyline feels unfinished, no conclusion or progress with McCullough's PTSD (except that she did try to trust an inmate but there was so much more potential left with her storyline), no idea what even was going on with Lushek at the end, no mention about the video from last season where one of the guards broke Alex's arm, Beth was introduced and seemed intriguing but not much came out of it except a random murder attempt no one seemed to care about, no words about Kukudio and/or Suzanne's reaction about a dead girlfriend etc.
I guess I just expected more closure with maybe one or two teasers for next year. Maybe it's a good thing they actually had a new season already planned, but waiting one more year after this ending feels unsatisfying. (And we'll have to deal with Madison again next year. I don't know a single person who can even just tolerate her character.)
Some things I did like about this season though:
- I'm glad Piper got out. I was worried she might even do something stupid to stay in prison longer but thank God that never happened. It could be interesting to see how she deals with her new life.
- Blanca really made me feel for her in this season. Never cared much about her but somehow this whole storyline with her and her boyfriend really worked well for me. And the ending was so sad. But I guess we haven't seen the last of her because Linda was just talking about opening immigration centers, so maybe she'll go there for some time.
- The sister dynamic was interesting. But I have to add a huge BUT. It had so much potential and the backstory was intense, but it just ended too quickly for seemingly no reason. I feel like they didn't get enough scenes and/or plot.
- Taystee's story was heart-breaking. Even scarier when you think about how many people really are innocent and end up in prison. I teared up when she was found guilty, but I still have hope Caputo will save her. If that won't happen in the next season I'll be devastated.
Carol and Barb need a spin off!
I'm so happy for piper she's finally out!
and I loved when those two sisters killed each other.
This whole season was a rollercoaster of emotions. At first I was so scared it would suck because the last season was a little disappointing but I love the way they did it. I feel so bad for Tasha and it broke my heart so much. But I'm glad the sisters are gone noe, because they were pretty annoying..
This season wasn't the finest, but it stepped up in the last few episodes and, again, managed to bring a really strong and emotional season finale. I enjoyed this a lot!
This season wasn't so good, the best for me is still season 4, but at least they did a very interesting season finale. Since season 7 will probably be the last they opened a lot of new paths to end the show in a very unexpected way and I can't wait to see how it all goes next season.
What a bittersweet ending. And altogether fantastic end to the block (and sister) rivalry with a wholesome message but goddamn, what a punch to the gut and a much needed highlight of a very real problem in America right now. With the black lives matter movement already under their belt, now the show turns its sights on the deplorable immigration detention centres. Fair play to them for again putting it in terms the viewer can understand and empathise with.
I wish they’d developed Carol and Barb’s story more.
The Barb and Carol plot of this season is among my favorite stories of the entire show. I love the set up and tension and I REALLY love the conclusion.
definitely one of the weakest season, but what an ending! I watched the last scenes with my mouth open.
I've suffered through the whole chapter because of Piper and Alex
Poor Blanca :(
Jesus Christ it's not even their story. At least they're both dead, and it's kinda fitting, the way they died. Also is it just me or the young Carol looks like Mackenzie Davis? The casting department really good
And please for the love of God get rid of Maddison. I don't want her to try to take control of the C block, or just please just leave Alex alone. She's all act tough and sh*t but she actually just a bully who happened to know some big power, but now that power is shift, I wonder what will happen. I'm really hoping Alex is going to turn like some sort of leader again like on s5. I mean Alex is like that mob boss that already retired and just wanted to have a nice life with her wife but said wife always getting into trouble. Ahem.
THE WEDDING OH MY GOD!!! I'm Lorna when I'm watching the wedding. Too bad Red wasn't there, damn it Red! I understand, but still. I'm sad because they just "toss" away Sophia like that like they don't know what to do with her, but at least she got some sort of a happy ending. I'm curious about Red and Gloria, how long they're going to be in ad seg. And I hope we'll get to see more of McCullough
Also damn it, this is what that lady meant when she said the feds are going to love Bianca's case! Also FUCK YOU TASYTEE DESERVE BETTER!!! GOD DAMN IT I HATE CINDY! I can't believe I'm saying this but Fig and Joe is cute, lol, Fig even willing to miss the big event to take care of Joe. I don't know where their relationship headed, but I hope it's a good one
Well, thats all... By now.
I'm sad for a few of the inmates for how this season was for them. Red, Daya, Taystee and Cindy were a strong and brilliant part of the show in the past seasons and now... They weren't good at all. However, amazing job with Caputo.
Is tough how they cut off a big part of the original and good cast. And I have to say it, most part of the new inmates weren't good enough. Madison is annoying as fuck.
One more complain, Alex wasn't too good either and yes she proved her love for Piper but come on, her history is better than just that.
Taystee, Daya, Red, Maritza, Blanca and Cindy deserved better.
It was a regular season for me, not too bad but not too good either. Piper is finally out. I want to see how is going to change the history.
Season 7 I'll be here for you. See you next year.
I liked the wedding and the factions no longer fighting, Piper getting out, as well as most of the rest of the episode, but the Black Lives Matter propaganda and the idea that law officers get away with murder were out of place. There's not a single case supported by BLM I can think of that fits the narrative.
This season was much better than season 5. I hate they separated Vauseman and Piper doesn't know what Alex did, I hope we'll get a happy end for them. I don't like how other characters changed, what decisions they made (don't like meaning I am not mad at writers but I don't like them) but that's part of it. I'm glad we got more serious and darker season that wasn't bad but actually enjoyable. Also the actress that plays Tasha (can't remember her name now) is amazing, she made me feel emotions. Damn. Another year of waiting!
I'm glad the game didn't end with bloodshed and the sisters killed each other. I'm disappointed with what happened to Tasha and Red. I wanted Freida to be the one to take the fall for Piscstella, dang it.
Also immigration and detention centre my as#!

Wow... This was an emotional Season Finale.
I'm so happy for Piper, she's free. The wedding was super cute too.
The inmates won't have to fear for Carol and Barb decisions anymore. Now it's time to get rid of of Badison too.
Poor Taystee, she deserve better than this.
Of couse immigration has to make the appearance. Not fair at all. Blanca only wanted a baby with Diablo.
Caputo was amazing this season. He was supportive and got the woman he likes. The other bitch needs to be gone. She's only there for publicity.
I really hope Lorna's baby get to be fine. She was so excited to met him/her.
Damn... Too much happened in this season. I can't wait to see how it goes.
Till next time.
