I have actually watched the whole season 5 already and I can tell you there's gonna be a lot of crazy stuff happening in this season and the crazy events that occur really are not up to the task, and you will be left with a huge cliffhanger in the last episode of the season lets just say the cliffhanger is due to "Piscatella" don't want to spoil it too much. I'm gonna say this tho about the whole season and this is why I will rate the whole season with my rarely seen 5 hearts rating, but the season improved itself after each episode if not for a few very boring unnecessary episodes that were in there some call them "fillers" it could have been an 8 or higher if not for that fact.
The whole season kinda felt boring there were not many appearances of "Piper" which I believe most people that watch this show watch it because of the character "Piper Chapman", yeah sure she does appear in every episode but like 1 or 2 times there are exceptions to some episodes but I really didn't expect for this show to turn into one of those shows where every character gets their own in-depth story, all in all season 5 could have been hell of a lot better and more fun in my opinion.
Danielle Brooks SHINES this season!
What a terrible terrible season, who wrote this story?? The storyline is so bad, I couldn’t watch it. It was a disappointment :-(
I can see this season not being very popular: there's not so much lesbian sex or whatever -- which is why a lot of people still watch this show. Instead, this season reveals the ongoing of a revolution, and how people organize themselves in it. I think it was very cool -- not boring at all. It exposes the truth about the whole prision system and people should be listening to that, bc it happens IN THE REAL WORLD. I think we all should look at that and realise the main focus of the show. Again, this show is not just about Piper or Chapman, it's about such a bigger canvas. All of these women, their stories, how they ended up there, how they made a revolution, and how they seek justice and basic human needs (and how they are DENIED it). Please, look at the bigger picture.
This season is so big. It's so loud.
This season is important. For all of us.
easialy the best season yet
Possibly the best show for character development ever. What a season.
It's not as focused and balanced as season four, sometimes it drags, and the jumping around betweend drama and comedy is messier than usual (even though I generally still love it). But season four was almost perfect, so... That being said, when it works, it's still up there with the best TV around, brave, important, deep and smart. And funny, which in my book is never an issue. Because, you know, life is funny, even stupidly funny, even when it's not. And the final episode, once again, is great.
I got mixed feelings about this season for the entirety of it.
I appreciate the social message this tv show is trying to spread, but at the same time I agree with them turning their backs again on what they're trying to say. They give prisoners power and then let the prisoners themselves lose it. So... what are we supposed to think? We should treat prisoners with more humanity but not too much because they will fuck everything up?
I mean now what?
Also I would really love for them to cut off the "white privileged" blasting I'm kind of sick and tired of victimism. But maybe it's not victimism here because I come from a different reality.
This show makes me so confused. SO confused.
At least they got sexuality right.
To be honest with you, this is not my favorite series. I never really got the hype around it all. I also wasn't very excited about this new season and watched the first half without a lot of enjoyment. I must say though, the second half was pretty good and I actually enjoyed it quite a bit! I think all the characters grew this season and that's the main thing that's happening, that's what I felt like was the focus on.
Although it's not my favorite show, I enjoyed this season and I enjoy the characters and liked getting to know all of them better.

I shouldn't have watched the entire season in one day but I have no regrets
