Aww I love this Dark Swan turn of events! Let's see what next season brings! I hope they'll make a better job than this year! This season was just meh
This season has been so dumb... they keep adding random stuff to the plot to try to spice things up. Zelena's return was so unnecessary... the only point of it was so that Regina and Robin could end up together again, but they could've done something else to make that happen. The only part I liked was the whole Emma being consumed by darkness thing. Hope that makes season 5 a good one.
These guys, they can have a pretty bad season but still hit the spot in the finales! Good job.
Just one thing, the travel back to Storybrooke after Henry wrote on the book, it could have been much but much more magical and epic, now just a light? That is too damn amateur, i want the magic back please!!!
Amazing episode, the best so far
I Hate the end of this season. Looks so forced, like they can't finish it but neither have a good idea to continue it.
Amazing! this season has been boring since the first episode, and special effects were getting worse, but now this season finale was literally A M A Z I N G!
Finally the charmings stopped annoying me with their huge quantity of Disney honey, I found hilarious the "I always find you", the "winks" to other elements of the story.
I feel really sorry for Emma and Hook, I really love Hook character, but Emma was getting annoying and boring, now this will "revive" the plot line.
p.s. Is Ginnifer Goodwin getting slim?

Look, I will keep watching this show. I have abandoned only 3 shows in my life, and that was when I couldn't bring myself to tune in any more. And I'll admit I still want to tune into this show. Just let it be known that I am tuning in with the interest of, say, a soap opera watcher, as opposed to someone interested in good TV.
The Good:
-Colin O'Donoghue (Killian/Hook), Robert Carlyle (Rumple/Gold), Lana Parrilla (Regina/Evil Queen), Jennifer Morrison (Emma) are all still charming and doing their best with a poor situation.
-Emma and Regina's AU outfits were rockin'.
-Ginnifer Goodwin (Mary Margaret/Snow White) finally got back some of her old charm as Book!Snow.
-Some cool recasting of the characters overall. Snow as the Evil Queen, David as the wrong twin, James as Daniel, Regina as Snow, Emma as a crazy witch who wasn't actually crazy, Lily as her guard, Zelena & Robin as a happy couple, etc.
-Tinkerbell wind-thing.
-Regina fan.
-Emma's reunion with Henry.
-Look, I loved Emilie de Ravin in Lost. LOVED her. That said, she has been terrible as Belle: very fake. Bad acting? Bad directing? Bad writing (probably at least part of it). That said, she was GREAT in the finale! Loved her reunion with Rumple, her book world with Rumple...she was great.
The Bad:
-Look, I have been defending Jared S. Gilmore (Henry) for as long as I can... but this episode was it for me. Surely TPTB know that he's not great? Why have him LEAD the finale!? When the ogre was roaring at him: "help. help me."
-What was the point of showing Snow killing one of the Dwarves after they didn't kill Regina & Henry as quickly as she would have liked? Were we supposed to be upset she killed one of the dwarves? I literally don't know which dwarf that was? (I suspect Doc though, because of the pointed shot of his glasses, which I guess was supposed to clue us in).
-Hook is presented to us an unerringly "good guy" but he's done some pretty bad stuff in past episode, as continued to this episode. Are we supposed to believe he 1) somehow forgot another human was stuck in that hat or 2) noticed and didn't care? I think the more likely answer is 3) we're not supposed to question why Hook didn't go back for the Apprentice sooner.
The ?????:
-HOW does Isaac NOT KNOW what's going to happen in his OWN BOOK!??!?!?!??!!? (see: "The Ogre Slayer! OMG how could I forget a major twist in my own novel?", Henry being able to avoid traps via the book but Isaac not knowing the traps he wrote himself?)
-This whole nonsense of whose blood makes the ink. Why do we need blood to make the ink in the first place? Before we needed "bad blood" (Lily) but now we need "good" (Regina)? Even if there is logic to this it sure wasn't explained well.
-That "darkness" sure wasn't very aggressive. Seemed like it was content to circle Regina as long as it took Emma & co. to figure out what to do.
-What was that nonsense where Henry met with Regina - "home"? Is it supposed to mean Henry's home is with Regina, because I feel like that wouldn't go over well with Emma. Just a total deus ex machina for them to meet back up?
-What kind of shitty ass book ends with two supporting characters getting married in a totally normal, uneventful ceremony?
-Jesus Christ, Regina, you could have gone up to Robin, had sex with him, beat Zelena to a pulp, officiated the ceremony yourself, and then slow-danced back outside and STILL stopped Rumple from attacking Henry if you hadn't spent SO LONG staring into each other's eyes in the doorway.
-Why didn't Emma mention that Lily is her guard BEFORE they left the island? Couldn't they have more easily incapacitated her BEFORE she regained consciousness?
-Also, no hard feelings about killing Emma killing(?) her in an alternate universe from Lily, who can't seem to decide if she likes Emma or not at the best of times?
-Also, WHERE WAS THE BABY? Does Neal 2.0 only exist when convenient for the plot or for presenting Snow & David as Happy and Totally Normal? Is someone putting in a heck of a lot of probably unpaid hours of babysitting despite the Zelena mid-wife debacle?
And the Crowning Achievement:
-Hook, who is apparently even more of a push-over in this universe, lets a random boy knock out his captain and assist him in stealing a ship, then takes him to a dangerous part of the ocean which is apparently conveniently very very close by for apparently no pay. Now he's happy to let said woman who is apparently psycho and said aggressive boy further commandeer her ship to go ??? (I guess back where they originally where? But where was Blackbeard? Did they just say sorry and sidestep off the Jolly Roger to let Blackbeard reclaim it?) He follows Emma's instructions perfectly and without hesitation, but apparently proves himself as a Bad Fighter (?). They get back to port, she gets a costume change (????) and Henry goes to find food (I guess they're hungry enough to waste a half hour of very limited time?) Emma openly flirts, Hook picks up on their connection, Emma is dodgy (surprise). SUDDENLY! They're attacked. Uh, OK. Oh no, Henry showed up (surprise). Hook OFFERS TO GIVE UP HIS LIFE FOR A WOMAN AND BOY HE JUST MET. Okay, they have a weird eternal connection. Okay, it didn't seem like his life was that great. Okay, he apparently is the only one who believes Henry & Emma's story and thinks that he'll be resurrected in this other life. So Emma & Henry run off to... watch? Hook knocks down a canopy, taking out everyone but David and Snow (surprise) and giving him plenty of time to run off but he stands there? Meanwhile, Henry and Emma are probably sitting down and having a nice picnic of the bread he had just bought and watching the show. David and Hook have a little baby swordfight where Hook disarms him and makes a comment about being a natural (don't get excited, buddy, it really wasn't that impressive). He turns to take on Snow. Emma and Henry clink wine glasses in the background. David kills him from behind while Emma screams the cliched "nooooooooo" (dang, guess the picnic was cut short). NOW Emma and Henry decide to run, and Snow just barely misses them with a fireball. So, so, so, SO pointless.
