there is not much to say, except: simply awesome!

Pretty good show until on season 3 turns braindead stupid. No wonder that one is impossible to watch legally. If I where the creators I would also be ashamed of it and try to hide it.

Excellent series and well acted in my opinion. Great for fans of political intrigue and espionage!

10 episodes of blissful engagement. Somebody skillful achieved what I’d consider an understated style of the TV series ’24’, without as high of a body count. A pleasant surprise. Things begin with a middle-aged man walking solo down the center of a snow-covered road, looking bewildered. A quick flashback to who he is and how he got there, then back to the road where the story turns into a snowball itself — entangling more characters and subplots as it rolls along. Every scene counts, and contributes to the quick pacing as the story unfolds. Don’t go past episode six unless you have time to finish. Don’t bother trying to stop after that, it’s not possible — I tried… ;-) Worth it’s weight in subtitles, ‘Occupied’ is a great show.

Simply one of the most gripping series I have seen, so original, so thoughtful - it's not everyone's cup of tea but it's mine!

Okkupert's strong point is precisely that of being able to show the light and dark sides of people, governments and police forces. Nothing is taken for granted in this really well-screened TV series, which manages to put the viewer never completely on one side or the other of the characters and factions at stake. It seems fictional because it is set in Northern Europe, but it tells of situations that could really happen, at any moment, in a panorama of energy crisis and climate change. Certainly something like this has already happened somewhere in the world, in Africa or South America.

This show is really great and I don't really understand the low ratings. If you get bored by politics, sure then avoid this. But as EU citizen this was an amazing roller-coaster and I can't wait for season 3.

I can hardly believe this will be the first comment. Superb series about a not completely impossible scenario where interest's between states collide.

Season 1: Edge-of-your-seat, pulse-pounding, very-bingeable geopolitical thriller
Season 2: Decent but loses much of its need to watch the next episode NOW quality
Season 3: ugh

Absolutely ludicrous background story line; Norway invaded somewhat softly by Russia, with the support of the EU and for their benefit. But if you can go past that, it is an absolute gem of a political drama. EU coproduction between Arte (French-German channel) and TV2 (Norway), language spoke are Norwegian, English, Russian and French. Available on Netflix (UK) at the time of writting: https://www.netflix.com/gb/title/80092654

Not one for watching films or shows with subtitles, but this was addictive from about the first 15 minutes. Binged watched both seasons in under a week. I sincerely hope there is a third season.

a great show, but it is a pity it has not gotten the popularity it deserves here in Norway, the media gave it shitty rewievs after the russians complained about the plotline. i hope people here will decide to give it a chance now that it is being praised abroad.
