So Max has time to spare to get on some let's make street crossings safer-crusade?

And I'm not sure why they couldn't wait for the grandmother to wake up - I mean she didn't have some kind of skull injury/concussion, she had a spinal fracture. Granted, she had to be treated... but why not first option for the minor procedure, and then let her make the decision if she wants to take more risk to prevent having to wear a back brace?

Liked Iggy's case... poor kid, not offering him any way to communicate.

Reynolds... why exactly did he have his father comitted? Because he wanted to borrow money? Yes, we as the audience saw what he did in traffic, but Reynolds didn't. He's still going after his father because of some kind of second-hand diagnosis that Iggy gave him after a 2-minute conversation... very strange. But to be honest, that character has long since lost any kind of usefulness, no idea why he's still in the show.

Near the beginning when they told the boy that he had to make the decision about his grandmother, why the hell didn't they explain the risks, the pros and cons? How can they expect him to make a proper decision when it will be without any important information? Help him to make an informed decision! My mom was just asked something from a nurse over the phone about my dad last night for us to make a choice about my dad's care. Fucking doctors and nurses shouldn't expect people to know what to do when they tell them nothing! If I get a chance to say something to her, I'll tell her to do her damn job...properly, or stay away from my dad! Now I'll go back to continue watching this episode.
