Someone involved in a legal system (technically, since the Navy hasn't executed someone for a while) which executes people using lethal injection which gets botched over 7% of the time criticising the guilotine is just ridiculous.
If I had to choose a method of execution, guilotine would actually be my favourite - probably painless (except for the fear which all executions have in common) and next to no chance of anything going wrong like the numbing agent not working and my veins feeling like I'm burning from the inside out (and I'm not surprised about 7% botching rate, considering there is no medical personel doing it).
