this is so great, i dont get the hate. i was only going go test the pilot and ended up seeing it all in a row . funny, witty, smart!
One of the best comedy I have watched in recent times! Especially each member of the cast nailed their roles making me connect to different people in my work experience.
[tv+] Between "Silicon Valley" and "The office," this series achieves some fun moments and characters that are well constructed. The episodes are irregular. Interestingly, the ones that work best are the ones outside the main plot: "A dark quiet death" and "Quarantine", which is possibly the best episode that aired last year about confinement.
Shitty show that is supposed to be comic but instead is annoyingly boring. This shit happens when you try to copy Silicon Valley tv series and your creative team gets everything wrong. After watching the whole season, I must admit that I was in the wrong and I shall retract what I said about it. It is a fine tv series, not as good as Silicon Valley but very watchable.
The show in no way portrays anything close to the reality of a developer studio and it does a poor job in representing the game community.
However, the show doesn’t take itself seriously and it does a good job giving you cringe moments that you don’t want to look at but at the same time can’t get yourself to actually turn away.
Is not the most believable acting, but then again I don’t think it is supposed to be. It’s kind of funny and it does forces with the stereotypes but with a good message overall.
I wouldn’t recommend this for most people but if you know anything about games or game development it is a cool “find someone you know” in the extremely exaggerated characters.
Boring second season. I can't remember why I liked the 1st season but I watched the 2nd just with the hope to find out. Unfortunately I just wasted my time.
I really wasn’t sure at first what to expect and put off watching it for months. However I was wrong. Thought it was brilliant. The back stories really added depth to the story. Loved it!
Somehow managed to get through 3 episodes. My gf summed it up to "it's asif we're just only watching other people work". It's not funny. No haha, not even a smile's worth. It's simply not funny. And it's also nothing near realistic as to how developers or testers work on any software product. How did this ever get a second season?! Apple obviously has too much money to throw around and a lack of creative master minds.
It's a funny show, sure. I enjoyed it much. However, don't expect everything to be accurately presented - be it stereotypes and whatnot. But overall, it's a show you can easily watch and enjoy.
I liked the show but why did they add "Raven's Banquet" to the title when that's literally only relevant to the first episode?
Amazing show really enjoyed it
Wow, this is bad. Struggled through episode one. My quest continues into E2....
I love this show, but it seems to be on the decline with each new season. The character's are seeing more development, but the latest season's story line is meh. That said, I really hope to see some new interactions between Jo and Brad's brother. I am really starting to like her gungho character.
I think they have run out of juice. Should have ended on two season high note. Season 3 seems to be trotting out barely refreshed tropes and meh development of characters.
It took me a while to warm to the characters but I ended up loving everyone in the end.
This show is so funny, how do people not like it, just the workplace comedy stuff really amazing. Also love how all the characters have had an important role and the quarantine episode was a nice gesture and a realistic one. Definitely have a new favourite show...
Looks like hate coming from folks expecting something else. This was an excellent beginning, in the vein of a Silicon Valley.
It misrepresents its target audience and the stories are barely funny.
It also misrepresents most of the gaming industry as p2w games are still in the minority and while they might be successful financially their player bases usually look like sh**.
Its kind of sad that the best Episode was the one not having anything to do with the main story. The Team from "Dark Quiet Death" looked way more compelling.
Not least because it was semi-realistic, compared to the totally ridiculous rest of the show.
It's not even remotely funny. Dropped it. Sad to stop two shows at their first day. Locke & Key and this one.
An absolute grotesque portrayal of video game development industry with cliché characters, poor acting, nonsensical plot and heavy focus on social justice. That said, the acting either improves or you get used to it. The season 1 before-last Covid special episode was better then regular episodes despite being filmed remotely in isolation and the self contained side/backstory episodes S01E05 and S02E06 are quite brilliant and easily worth a watch on their own.
The first season is great because its comedic take on the gaming industry really struck a chord in me. As an avid videogame player it was watching Mythic Quest's take on topics like promotional streaming, monetization, and expansion releases that did it for me. It also felt really nostalgic watching it for a second time.
The second season is great because we got excellent character growth and backstory. Brad and C. W. Immediately come to mind when I say this because they got the spotlight and it is a treat to watch (Although towards the end they got a little crazy with the videogame transitions).
The third season is comically bad. One episode made me laugh, and they did a fantastic job with their signature side-story episode, but the rest is terrible. Like dude WHY IS RACHEL STILL HANGING AROUND LIKE SHE DIDNT QUIT HER JOB. I didn't mind her in the first two seasons but by this point the character is just plain annoying. She had such a big character arc in season 2 with finally realizing what she wanted to do in life just to have the writers throw it all away  The only reason I even finished the season is because I felt obligated to out of my commitment to the series' initial quality.
I WANT to like this show because of the fact that it explores an industry that I'm passionate about but man is this third season just disappointing.
Apple TV does it again!
absolutely love the show
each season has 1 flashback episode. They're the highlight of the show
Season 3 rated a 7.4
Great show. Hilarious and very well done
It is the better choice compared to AP Bio...but only if you want to compare ;)
This show is so lovely. Wasn’t what I expected and the characters are all interesting and multi-dimensional. The S2 finale surprised me but I thought it was a really fantastic way to end things whether there is or isn’t another season. And the lesbian storyline!!! I love!!
Really enjoy the show so far. A bit off in a few places as they try different things. characters are pretty likeable and the back story episodes for C.W. has to be the one of the best told backstories in all of tv! I really liked it. Watch last 4 episodes.
Basically this is Mac from it's always sunny in Philadelphia playing a CEO character. It's an entertaining show, but I think Rob could have challenged himself as an actor and played someone else this time around.
more fun & entertaining than expected, with some strange glimpses of something that could've been very good.
Think Silicon Valley, but for gaming
I can’t quite work out whether this is a comedy or drama. It’s not particularly funny, only in small parts, so I’ve started to think maybe it’s just more of a drama.
I’m a keen gamer and still felt like there wasn’t too much good comedy, but they do tell some ok stories
6/10
Really loved this show. Had me laughing out loud quite often, which is pretty rare. I think a lot of people are taking the subject way too seriously, as usual. Was happy to see another project by Charlie Day &
Rob McElhenney, something extremely different from It's Always Sunny.
I found the writing on this show often witty, and the characters had depth, as flawed and screwed up as they were. The side stories within were also very good. I was just pleasantly surprised & entertained all the way through. I think the haters are a lot of people who seem to be unable to handle a situation in a tv show if the show doesnt portray EVERYONE exactly how they want them to.
I don't think that was ever the intention here; to make a comedy that mimics game developers, or the community in any specific way to make anyone happy. It was a fantasy. Satire. Im not sure if you've heard of that before?
As for the anti-SJW & "woke for the sake of woke".... Seriously? Just get off your horse. Nobody cares.
Does anyone know if season 3 is happening?
ok but not funny at all you could watch it if u like the actors i still decide...
It is no masterpiece but I am finding this series quite enjoyable and episode five about the dissolution of a marriage and the corruption of a creative idea by marketing was surprisingly affecting. An amusing bonus is that it was done in collaboration with Ubisoft and therefore the offscreen corporate owner the characters occasionally refer to is in Montreal!
Absolute stinker. Probably the worst show I've seen this year.
Many threads left open for season 2, but I'm doubtful it will come. Probably won't bother with s2 regardless. An average overreaching comedic drama.
I started watching this show on the premise that, like IASIP, it would be a pure comedy show. Alas, as the show progresses, elements of romance and drama became more prevalent. This blend of genres is a bit worn out. And unfortunately, I'm at a stage where these templates are starting to feel a bit dreary.

Silicon Valley meets The Office (US)... halfway. Halfway but still pretty good and funny
I don’t consider myself to be a gamer and I don’t think the target audience is only gamers. It’s more about (game) development and the human interactions in such an office :joystick::boom::man::desktop_computer:
Ps: only watched 3 episodes so far...
