I'm glad we finally learned more about Roxy's backstory, and why she abandoned the village. Roxy has always felt like an independent and closed-off character, and now we finally learn that it's because she felt like an outsider amongst her own community. Feeling like she was just a nuisance for her family, and feeling disconnected from the people for not being able to communicate in their native way, she fled to live on her own, running away from her family to avoid dealing with those feelings of alienation.
While yes her not being able to communicate natively made life difficult for her and her family, it's clear that her parents loved her and wanted her to stay with them, with them begging that she come back another day. And man, was the reunion tear-jerking with Roxy realizing just how much they've missed their daughter, seeing the mementos they kept of her, and the tears rolling down her mother's face, and then Roxy hugged her parents with open arms. Although it must suck for her parents knowing she has to leave again, I'm glad Roxy finally made up with her parents. Can't wait to see her and the gang's adventures in the Demon Continent as they search for more party members.
