I do find it interesting that Louise seems about as controlling as the late Mrs. Palmer, but at least she was sensible enough to not try to deprive George of the sport when she verified his illness. I like how Murdoch said he & Julia have an egalitarian approach to decision-making and this is displayed in the beginning of the episode where, "William asks Julia to give up her new hobby, "I'll give it up the moment you give up your bicycle," negotiates Julia."
