Can this scriptwriting team never leave each other, and work on another show after this show ends?
Mr Robot, The Leftovers, and Better Call Saul are shows with some of the highest quality writing for a AAA show.
"I guess he didn't like my note." Heh. I didn't think that they'd ever match last week's episode and then they went and did it the very next time out. Amazing. The Angela and Elliot stuff was solid, and the subsequent alternation between the slow burn of Dom's discoveries versus the frenetic pace of Elliot's efforts was terrific. And seeing Elliot literally battling himself like that would have been hysterical in another context, but here it was just nerve-wracking. And in the end, it was all for nothing. So many people were played. So many people still have no idea what's going on. But Elliot and Mr. Robot are starting to understand. And now they would seem to be on the same side, which would seem to make all the difference going forward. Good stuff.
Boy, really, I think my blood pressure just went up while watching this episode lol
Another great episode. Lots of tension. Could have been nice to do a Fight Club ending on the scene with Darlene and Angela and the building exploding in the background.
The dynamics between Eliott and Mr Robot changes again. They communicate again, but not talking face to face. It would be too much if it became a regular gimmick, but as a one time thing it was perfectly used here, in just the right action. The way Mr Robot is fighting to take control, undoing what Eliott just did over and over, 15 minutes, 3, and then just a few seconds trying to interfere anyway he can. That was great.
And all that effort and struggle, even both of them cooperating, for almost nothing in the end. That was a nice finish.
Wondering now what it will mean for Mr Robot. He agreed to help Eliott because he thought detroying the building was useless. But if they blew them all, the goal is still accomplished... except in the one they saved. However, he didn't know that, meaning it's not his operation anymore, he's not in control.
What about Angela ? She's probably the one who started it all in the previous episode, she's the one responsible for all the deaths. So will she crash or go full with Whiterose hoping it will all be erased ?
So even if there was a buildup to this episode's actions, it sets up a lot of interesting future interactions. Great job. Just hope that the Tyrell story doesn't go in innocent prisonner the-bad-guys-made-me-do-it mode, that would be boring.
Also, Dom is awesome ! That scene where she explores the underground is superb.
Wow. Just... Wow. Amazing season.
What about Mr. Robot? Does he now understand that Tyrell and the Dark Army have corrupted his alleged revolution? Does he have any fight left? If so, who’s he gonna fight? Them or me?
Elliot
Great episode (as usual) but... wasn't it confirmed earlier in the season that they had Trump as a president so why would President Obama address the nation during the credit-roll?
Can't wait for the next episode.
This season is dragging for too long. Nothing really happens. All 3 female characters are obnoxious, dumb and with no emotions to storry connection. This comes probably from all 3 being poor actresses. I hope this shows stops here. It has nothing more to offer
Spectacular television. The tension is masterfully balanced, with an A, B and C plots and so intriguing that they all feel like A plots. It'd be easy to rank this episode above the prior episode, as famous as it is, because it does do many things better than the previous episode, but the cold open sacrifices consistent pacing for stylistic flair, which certainly feels nice, but doesn't work narratively. Still, a quarter of the episode in, you'll be knee deep in and enthralling thriller and a gorgeous cinematic feat.

The last episode was a lot more hyped up, but I feel this episode was even more nerve wracking.
That scene with Dom searching the Red Wheelbarrow basement was longest 2 minutes of my life.
