7.3/10. Perhaps not as well constructed as some other episodes of the show. The usual rubric of Orel hearing a lesson at church, taking it the wrong way, and spinning out of control is a pretty sturdy blueprint, but the path that leads him to reading BDSM magazines and eventually getting his "Johnston" pierced was a little far-fetched, and more than a little unpleasant, even for this show. That said, there was some legitimate emotional depth (maybe even warmth) between Orel and the woman and the piercing shop that I wasn't necessarily expecting. If it's a hint toward Orel finding some fulfillment outside his button-down life, and making a real connection with someone, color me interested. And the satire at the end about normal people getting to feel superior (with Orel's mom's cleaning binge) had some nice bite to it as well.
