I'm glad they're saving their budget for the finale, and that they are not afraid to air what is essentially a 20-minute shitpost for our viewing pleasure.
WTF happened in this episode?
The story and the visuals have no sense.
The fuck? It's heavily implied the aliens literally raped the kid that was left behind. In what way is this acceptable? Completely unnecessary especially considering it's filler. It was good wholesome filler until that happened. What a massive blemish on an otherwise great series.
That was probably one of my favourite episode of this show. UFOs and aliens is a really difficult area to tackle in anime genre, because it's hard to translate an actual IRL phenomenon to the art style of the medium.
Aliens end up looking goofy and outside of what we picture them, but here they actually leaned on that weakness and managed to make a catching filler about another facade of the paranormal.
also kudos to them for putting a figma of the Pascagoula aliens on Tome's shelf.
This was most likely a filler episode.
