I've decided to start writing reviews, especially on shows I've watched that have either no reviews, or maybe one or two short ones. An excellent premise, in this series God is a bit of an idiot child with a quick temper and practically no control over Heaven or Earth. Heaven is run by employee angels who are either jobsworths or earnest novices. We've all had it happen to us, "man plans, God laughs".... for example, I used to pray for bigger boobs, and God gave me bigger boobs, I fell pregnant... over 20 years later, I still have the big boobs and a grown up, loved, but unplanned child. Be careful what you wish for.
And that is basically the joke in this comedy. Sadly, although it is supposed to be 30 minutes per episode, at least 15 minutes of that is taken up by the opening credits, the 'previously', the talk through what happened in the current episode and the closing credits leaving only about 15 minutes of original show per episode. Still, the good humour, the skilful acting and the wobbly sets make it an endearing 15 minutes as long as you don't get too bored scrolling through all of the above to get to the meat of the show. I easily watched the whole season in an evening. I can't see another being made in the same format.
out of all the seasons I honestly think this one had the best finale
This was a pretty good first season, even if it was just 7 episodes. Looking forward to how season 2 is.
It was alright. I wouldn't watch it again, though.
I finished watching the whole season over the course of a day (short season, short episodes, so not too impressive a feat). It grew on me and I wound up really liking it. I’m looking forward to season two now.
One of the highlights of the episodes, for me, were the news segments. I didn’t recognize the reporter from anything, so it was a very weird moment just now, as I searched Hulu for something else to watch and settled on the anti-hero/horror movie Brightburn - about as different from Miracle Workers as you can get. At the end there’s the same actor, playing a reporter, giving a news report that could have been right out of Miracle Workers. And apparently he plays a newscaster on The Outsider, as well. I guess I need to watch that next.

Bittersweet ending. I'm not expecting there to be a second season but I wouldn't mind if there will be.
