Ok, the dynamic of Joyce being overly controlling and her serious-to-the-point-of-pedantic approach on the magazine Vs. the more libertine one of the other bunch was a nice premise but now it's getting tiring, since there's been growth on the other characters' side - but Joyce is still exactly the same: wanting to write Steinem and NYT while being in "that" working situation.
the scene where she yells at Bambi, Richie and Shelly was completely pointless if not for creating some fakish contrast, to be then solved in the usual way of finding a meeting point.

Again the formula:
needing to write for the magazine
something happening
Joyce not compromising for no particular reason (at this point)
Her fighting with one of the others and not giving up her ideological purity
She realizes she can't reach people's hearts her way, so she apologizes and comes out with a mix between her original idea and the other suggestions

So yeah, I'm liking the idea, the actors, the Doug-Tina dynamic... but please change the bullet points for the episode arc
